He just got waived by Boston.

I honestly haven't watched him play at all but some peeps are saying he can shoot the three, drive, pass, defend..

    interesting.

He hasn't played that much in the NBA so it's hard to really evaluate the guy.

Would he be good enough for camp invite?

Let's see if we can somehow trade Kawhi for him, Trevor Ariza and Brad Beal.

I watched him when he was played in Europe. And what i saw is that he is a good player, but not enoguh good for NBA. In Europe he would be respectable player, but nothing over it.

Well this would have to be a three team trade now with Ariza gone from the Wizards. But I have faith in the FO to find a way to make it happen.

Honestly, Perry Jones is probably getting waived by the celtics as well. He I a decent defender right now, and could fit in as a combo forward, corner 3 guy.

I wouldn't mind this to much tbh. Guy has loads of potential in the right scenario. He will be behind Bobo and West at the 4 though. Not sure he can guard 3's very well. Then again his defense can't be much worse than Andersons at the 3.

If he had a different last name, this wouldn't have been a story.

I am pretty sure he could defend backup 3s. But having say Diaw, West, Jones, Manu, mills can be a diverse group of shooting, scoring, length, rebounding, and intangibles. Honestly, I prefer Jones over say Prince.

With the Spurs he would either be comeback player of the year or he wouldn't last past a ten day contract. Lots of talent, not a lot of motivation.

Jones would be worth a camp invite, but he's going to be in camp with Boston. He's not worth guaranteed money at this stage. So at best, he'd be a potential 10 day in January.

Celtics have 16 players under guaranteed money (was 17 before Dragic waiving). Jones is behind Crowder/Turner/Young at the 3. And behind Sullinger/Lee/Jerekbo at the 4, not including Johnson who usually plays the 4 as well. I just don't see him getting through the camp and he must be looking at a defiant waive.

That doesn't mean anything though. He'll still be in camp with them.
