Gobert just needs to have a relatively injury free career in NBA, and he's already in Mutombo's level trajectory. If he can be an effective & consistent offensive player, the sky is the limit.

    Thanks, Mnky

Last night Serbia won the Belgrade Trophy tournament. In final, we beat Russia with 95:61. I'm sorry i had to say it, but this Russian team, with that roster, is shameful. Hope that will come better days for them.

Milutinov and Dangubic were rested on this match.

We made a promise to LJC. We weren't drafting Gobert anyway.

Utah didn't use their pick to draft him, they traded for him (I don't remember what was the counterpart, but it was something like a bag of burrito and 2 pictures of Jeff Ayres).

If the spurs really wanted him, they probably could have find something to outbid the Jazz.

June 27, 2013: Drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the 1st round (27th pick) of the 2013 NBA Draft.

June 27, 2013: Traded by the Denver Nuggets to the Utah Jazz for Erick Green and cash.

Easy assumption, but not really, having in mind the Spurs don't buy draft picks. There's nothing to suggest the FO have even had the money needed to buy the pick at their disposal even if they wanted to do it.

It's funny, every time I see Gobert block a shot I hear Mutombo's voice "Not in my house!".

What you say is true, Gobert already has comparable per36 stats with Mutombo, a little bit less rebounds, a little better FG%. But Gobert just turned 23 whereas Mutombo came to the league in his prime at 25.
I heard Gobert is working on his offensive game with Dirk Nowitski's shooting coach, and if he can develop one or two go to moves he can be a perennial All Star. Imagine if he develops the sky hook? Unstoppable.

Right now, he's so impressive defensively that he can already make a career simply on that.

It's frustrating to have missed him for one spot in the draft but you can't blame PATFO for not getting every single steal in the draft either... The worst is, you know they know, and they're frustrated too.

A pull up three, a catch and shoot three, 2 spin layups, a couple of and-1s, AND looks in great shape

If there was no le for the video, I would have thought that this is a version of 2007 Parker.
