It wouldn't surprise me if we did take on more eventually. 10K is a drop in the bucket.

It's a requirement, according to cons, because apparently there isn't enough land and not enough money to build houses on said land.

I know that the point of this thread was to rabble rouse, buy I have a serious question about who to contact to help these people. I have several friends with extra rooms that they are willing to offer and some without room could help support. If anyone knows of which organizations can help, please point me in that direction. The only things that I've been able to come up with are all in Europe

I can say that the totalitarian police state run by Saddam would have been much less likely to have allowed ISIS to form than the weak corrupt government in Iraq currently.

Saddam, Ghadaffi, Assad, and Mubarak in power are much better than the current alternatives. There's a reason they were there in the first place. We prop up plenty of despotic regimes worldwide. I was living in the Clear Lake/NASA/ Kema area when this was going on. It was funny as . Gulf Shrimp back then was expensive as because there was more demand than supply. Those white trash shrimpers would go out, get a load, and then come back and stay rip roaring drunk until they ran out of money and then would go back out for another load. The Vietnamese moved in and just kicked their asses. They lived 30 to a slum house and worked their asses off. They would build a boat and then would stay out fishing and making money while the wife/brothers/cousins built their next boat in the front yard. before you knew it there was a whole vietnamese fleet and they put the white trash shrimpers out of business. I and most of the other locals totally supported the Vietnamese.
