Progress has been pretty slow outside of football. Facilities for bball especially a huge problem that seems to be in permanent limbo. Still Southland level in a lot of ways, but the move up was faster than expected.

Lynn Hickey would be a huge step up... Seriously.
She has done a great job, but she simply doesn't have the financial resources generated by alumni that even Texas State has. That's why you don't see much upgrades to facilities (except soccer/track which was paid for mostly by city/county).
Guys at Inside Texas have been discussing Patterson's ouster for a while, and they noted the qualities targeted in the next AD. Their booster source noted the following before this announcement even took place: "Instead of bringing in a guy that’s all bottom line oriented, the guy being talked about will be someone who can win the facility arms race, introduce a better game day atmosphere, and do things with uniforms and the like to improve recruiting."
If that happens then i guess you could expect Charlie to hang on a lot longer.
The fact that he let the Jet Pack joke go on for the whole season was su ious.
The latest update from Scout says Fenves has given Patterson three options:
-reassignment
-take a one-year buyout of roughly $1.4 million
-possibly be fired with cause which would result in no buyout
How could you really reassign him at this point?
Lol they don't want to pay buyout and don't want to get sued by Patterson
I guess he and Mack could travel to Syria together to scout possible game locations

Lying about funding? He did that with the tennis facilities. It's probably not cause though.
It would be hilarious if they went to court over the buyout seeing as how that mother er has hung Wickline out to dry for two years.

Insubordination. Fenves has had multiple meetings with Patternson (I believe I read they had three recent meetings about) and corrective orders were apparently given which were not followed.
Patterson is a joke. He was the worst team president we've ever had.
Can someone explain the Mike Perrin hire? Was here involved with the AD in some way?
