i don't think anyone thinks that, it's more of a sum of all things
at people not thinking jimmy graham will give a big spark to their passing game
i don't think anyone thinks that, it's more of a sum of all things
What specifically has changed from last year to this year that will make them a worse passing team
where did i say they their passing will get worse? Nice try though.
are you always re ed?
if he's not going to do better or the same, then the only remaining option is worse
Not going to work Raven, you just got manhandled.
Jimmy Graham is a HUGE addition and only a fool wouldn't get that.
you just admitted that passing is the most important thing a qb has to do, therefore throwing him out of the top15 picture for good and admitting he's a game manager holding down a dominant team. I intended him as a qb considering everything, starting from the wins column to the fumble and injuries..
You make zero sense. Obviously the QB is the most important figure in the passing game. Link me to one quote where I've said otherwise. You're the moron saying that wilson will be worse and then saying "i never said their passing game will be worse."
If anything YOU'RE the one implying the qb isn't the most important part of the passing game.baesd on the logic you've shown
well if you don't get it, i really can't defend you tbh
Weak. Though I'd have a hard time defending that abortion of an argument too
I really don't see why would i defend it, i mean according to you people, the seahawks oline was going to be better last year compared to the year before..
link me to that quote... and how is that even remotely related to the topic at hand? you're just deflecting
i don't have to, you did not deny it. It is related, they traded their all pro center, lost their far and away best guard in carpenter, had a bad draft on paper and have 0 money to spare, lost zach miller their blocking TE and are left with Unger (great if healthy) and then their most paid olineman is freaking sweezy with just above a milion, the rest is literally scrubs and picks. Considering their qb can't throw much and runs half the time, it's really hard to believe he will get through the season uninjured. Even lynch, who is not human, has to have some sort of backlash.
Carpenter was a massive draft bust. Unger is a big loss but was hurt a lot anyway. Swapping him for graham is still a net positive for their passing game imo
Make that 0-8![]()
predictably, they're significantly worse without Unger, especially with the run blocking. Lynch has struggled to get anything going up the middle. what i've found fascinating (and said in the game thread) is that seattle dealt Unger for Graham, yet are still trying to run their offense like they did the last 2 years. when you make that drastic a move, you have to change your offense around it... and they aren't. graham hasn't really been in their gameplan in the first couple of weeks. its mind-boggling
that's exactly the question you should be asking yourself.
Did they really trade for Jimmy and not want to use him? Or did they find out Russ might not be the type of QB that can pass like they thought and are now stuck with a guy they can't use?
Not exactly a great start for Russ. He's been ok and had some high moments, but overall with the defense and run game taking a step back, Russ hasn't been able to adequately make up for it.
What's weird is that he's not even making many attempts to throw to him. Not even a jump ball
In the first game, he over threw him a few times to the point Jimmy sort of looked at him like "what was that". I can't believe a team as smart as the Hawks would trade an offensive lineman for Jimmy if they didn't plan to use him. I really do wonder if they are quickly finding out that Russ's skillset really isn't conducive to being a great passer in a pass heavier offense and that's why they aren't adjusting the game plan more.
It's way early and Russ has earned the benefit of the doubt but it's pretty damn curious to me.
