If his motive was to impress a teacher (as he claims), then his decision to recycle an existing clock doesn't make much sense, imo. If his motive was to get attention for a sketchy-looking device, the recycled clock makes sense.

Why plug the clock into an outlet in English class (and other classes), particularly after the first teacher warned you not to show it to anyone else? THAT makes no sense to me.

I know this is wrong because I am a liberal and I am supposed to defend Ahmed... but don't you find it su ious that he was wearing a NASA t-shirt to school the day he got arrested? I could be totally off base here, but I suspect Ahmed's father may have instructed Ahmed to wear that t-shirt to school to deliberately make the kid appear geeky, inquisitive and ultimately innocuous. That way when they took the photo of him getting arrested it would create a certain "shock value" because how could they arrest this poor little kid who just likes science and wants to build stuff?

The liberals are "all in" when it comes to defending Ahmed. If we can expose Ahmed, then there is the very real possibility we can take them down and open up the pathway for Donald Trump to win the election.
