Washington State tweet after beating Oregon.
Does anyone know if this re even played?
Hitler never gets old.
I watched this play about 20 times, I watched it in super slo mo and even in reverse. Most of our oline never gets off a block on this run. From left to right. Left tackle engages his man for about a second but he runs himself out of the play and just trots. Left Guard throws a block and engages a linemen long enough to keep him out of the play. Center gets his paw on a linebacker and slows him just enough to keep him out of the play. probably the key block by a linemen. Right guard, just runs forward and never touches a soul. Right tackle throws a block that actually establishes the LOS for Texas.
TE - Caleb Bluiette blocks two guys on this play, and it's the only reason this play works. He first engages a DB who ends up going around the block and running himself out of the play, he then scrapes off and crushes a linebacker and creates a lane for the runningback to run through. Literally that is all the blocking that took place on that play, the rest is poor angles and guys missing tackles.
This play works because:
1. It was well designed and perfectly timed.
2. The respect they have for Heard as a runner
3. Foreman is a badass runner
4. Key block by TE
5. Oklahoma forgot how to tackle and took poor pursuit angles.

Teddy Bridgewater
so if he gets blown out TCU style vs Baylor, Tech, and Kansas State, you still think he should be given 2 years?
Bridgewater was playing in Strong's second season.... hopefully Heard can be our Bridgewater.
Shane Buechele is coming next season too.
Don't bother with djohn anymore tbh. He's either just being a got to be one or he's just painfully stupid. He's the upstairs grey poster of the CS Forum.
Just not on Strong's nuts like the rest of you. He's gotta prove it first. One win does not change the recruiting outlook.
Number 1 is why Norvell helped win this game for us.
The two Oklahoma players taking bad angles and destroying each other was for the final 70 yards. I will chalk that up to Foreman's sneaky speed. You also need to look at the Swoopes goaliine plays. The blocking and push was excellent on many of them. We pancaked more players this game than all of the others combined, I counted two (j/k). Spread offensive tactics don't require lineman to hold blocks long, they are designed to get players with speed into the open quickly so you have more man on man situations. Deception and quick decisions are hugely important. This play showed what the spread CAN do. TCU read everything we did along with our horrid execution. Thank God we have some talented guys carrying the ball. Norvell gets the spread, Watson did not.
As the season goes forward my hope is Heard and the line get better and better at executing this. We could use DAje back as well, and he needs to bring his hands with him.
I also think it is it is important to note that Oklahoma has been starting slowly in a number of games and then taking over. We survived them waking up and then smacked them right back.
You think we are sold on him? With special teams and so many logistical errors? No way.
People like you who panic immediately and head to the door for a start over are the worst at building. It is highly possible the job is too big for Strong and his current staff. So we look for improvement for all involved. There is NO Jim Harbaugh for us who inherits a very good defense, and then puts an adequate offense together with pro caliber staffing. This coach does not exist for us.
So who do you replace Strong with NOW so we can start recruiting NOW?
Kevin Rumlin.
This IS the MO of ST.
If this board ever had to actually get anything built or accomplished TOGETHER it would be an absolute ClusterF.
Despite the record, he finished with a strong recruiting class last year and much of that was achieved after the season ended.
He won't listen. Doomed.

You have two choices in this matter.
you fire him now, or give him two more years. Giving a coach one year is making him and the program a dead fish. I saw this with Mack, everyone knew he was on his way out and when Mack was trying to bring in assistants to replace guys he fired, no one wanted to come. He was being turned down left and right and he had to hire guys that were questionable like Diaz.
It will be worse with charlie. Lets say Watson, Wickline decide to move on to other jobs and we fire Brick. What top assistant is going to jump at the opportunity to be at Texas for one year?
No the choice has been the same since before Saturday's win. you either cut the life line now or you give him two more years. By year 4 if you don't see enough improvement, you cut the life line as soon as you are ready.
And yes, this win did change everything for Charlie. Even if it was a fluke win and we are still staring at fools gold, you have to give him another year which brings us back to my original point, if you have to give him one, they you have to give him two.
Why was this win so important?
1. It showed that Charlie didn't lose the lockerroom.
2. It gave the younger players something to believe in.
3. It gave the fans something to believe in.
4. It has given the team confidence.
5. It is something to build upon.
6. Recruits are seeing now that the younger guys are improving and competing.
At this point you can't justify firing him, not without something that shows he has completely lost the team and his assistants.
He is not going to get blown out TCU style against Baylor, Tech & Kansas State. In fact, I still think we win two of those three games.
I like the cut of your jib.
