It's easy to see the kid simply has.....it....in abundance.
The Falcons not known for a lot of stud backs, , their franchise rushing leader is Gerald Riggs, he was ...ok.
Or legit? Dude has looked very good the last four weeks. Power, speed, vision, not one fumble iirc..

Where was he last year? Did hear anything about him. Benched?
i think coleman takes back the job by the end of the season.
Freeman is pretty much the same player as last year. The big difference is Shanny's ZBS and the new offensive line personnel. Plus he's not stuck behind on the bench behind old bag Steven Jackson
He's a good all around back in a system that gives him lots of opportunities. Has great hands and looks like he's a decent blocker as well.
Although it doesn't hurt that they have one of the the easiest schedules in football this season.
He's legit. People wanted him starting last year. Keep in mind though he gets so many yards because ATL is such a high powered passing attack people forget about him
When the Cowboys played them he really impressed me. Ran like a much faster Marion Barber IMO. Like Barber, I can't see him having a long career if he's playing that violent, but if he protects his neck you never know.
The dude sees a hole and is through it faster than anyone I've seen in a while. But I'm not sure he can keep it up. I'll give him two years max playing at this level.
Welp dude is ed now
I actually thought the same thing. Although it seems like the majority of Freeman's contact seems avoidable and comes at the very end of the play. As opposed to Barber who was always looking to run over someone. If he can learn when to avoid seeking the contact, he could probably extend his career. There's been several times when he's been on the sideline with not much chance of extending the play, but he'll barrel in to the defender. Not sure if he's trying to gain an extra half yard. Most likely, I think he's just trying to send a message.
In any event, he's been nice to have on Fantasy Football.
The NFL has had tons of smaller school stud running backs.
