This will be good bump material in 2 years
The thread won't be relevant in 2 years. This isn't a thread saying "luck will never be elite."

It's a pretty simple exercise. Is he as good as Rodgers? No. No one is right now. But if you put Luck on any other top team with good weapons seems pretty clear he's an upgrade. Or even easier - what other QB has enough talent to take these Colts (or last years) to the playoffs and get a win. List is probably 3 deep.

People were picking the Colts to make the superbowl this year. Luck struggles early in the season and then we start hearing about how terrible the team is.

    Cam would no doubt.

How would he (Luck) do in Carolina?

Could he have gone 5-0 this year though?

PS: That's debatable. Give him a fractured rib and offseason surgery.

There's a lot of idiots. And part of the reason they picked IND is because how great Luck was with such a bad team. The fact that they added any talent (even though old & past prime) was enough to make people believe.

Tbh most of the people talking about the Colts struggles this year think the problems are coming from the top. Don't get me wrong, I see what you see when you made this thread and Luck may very well have a "down" season even after accounting for the 2 less games he'll play than everyone else... but it's not Andrew Luck's fault his GM went all in on his talent and didn't sign enough players to create CB depth this offseason, burning another 1st on a WR, failed to continue developing the LB corps after getting a few decent players in his first year as GM, etc.

It's not Andrew Luck's fault his head coach runs stupid like that 4th and 3 play because he's afraid of Belichick. He has some things he can work on for sure but I'd say Luck's struggles are only half of why the Colts are 3-3 right now.

The Colts front office is the main issue. They fail to improve that defense and o-line year in and year out. They traded a 1st round pick for ing Trent Richardson. The run they had last year was pure fools gold. They played the Bengals and a declining Broncos team. They added old talent to the roster and hope that it will all pan out. The Colts should already be a loaded team with multiple stars they drafted rather than having the roster they have now.

    Luck is WAY overrated.

I've been trying to tell people for the longest that Luck is the most overrated stat padder in the NFL.

    Since 2013 Luck is...

    15-0 vs AFC South

    10-14 vs non-divisional

Luck is undefeated in the horrible AFC south. He has a losing record in non-divisional games and is horrible against winning teams. Cam Newton is as much of a winner as Andrew Luck is, and in fact wins with less on offense. Wilson blows out Luck in pretty much every statistic too. Luck is a turnover machine. Luck is Matthew Stafford reincarnated. Throw the ball a lot, compile a lot of stats but never get anywhere. And that gets boring and the coach gets fired. Luck isn't even capable of maintaining a 60% completion, yet he is this "accurate" passer.

I think the Saints defense will get better every week. A lot of young/rookie playmakers.
