Well, the bad thing about a team that has a dominant big is that if you don't have any guards that big typically struggles . Who's going to run their sets and earn respect of the defense? Davis isn't a guard and can only create so much for himself.
People are going to overreact to this game after all the Davis off-season hype, tbh..crazy expectations for him, letdown is a given on a team with Nate Robinson, Ish Smith and whoever else running the perimeter offense..

What does a regular season game mean in the scheme of things? Anyone can beat anyone, it doesn't make them a good team. What matters is how much winning a team can do (like lottery amount of wins, but nearly 60). Spurs swept GS last year, does that make them the champs?

Crazy laker fan logic. It isn't good to be tanking because LA can't be GS. LA can't beat any of the top teams in a series has nothing to do w/ GS being good.
Here you go getying all sensitive.. im using gstate cuz that is the game at hand and they are the champs. You the one that said we have no chance vs any west contender. So i told you we beat yall last year and wiliing to bet we do it again this one. Never said we are contenders but while gstate who is in our division is this good it is a good time for us 2 suck ...not saying it was planned ...who would plan that when our pick is only top 3 protected?

Btw i speak for myself not Laker fans. Please pay me the respect of speaking to me and not lumping me in with everyone else.

Steph got Deeps in his feelings on day one apparently.

Betting the first 2 weeks of the NBA season is mostly luck-reliant, tbh..a lot of teams getting into rhythm/still in off-season mode..
Feb to March is the worst time to bet, then it all picks up in the playoffs

Yup - this isn't fantasy sports These are real NBA teams in a brutal conference. Having this much of your talent on the side lines is going to really hurt AD. More than most. Lebron is a high usage player and has the ball in his hands. AD obviously isn't like that so the lack of guard play puts him in a tough spot.

Ya, Nate Robinson couldn't even see over defenders to make simple passes for pick&pops in the 1st, and opposing teams are going to realize that Ish Smith is one of the worst shooting PGs in the entire league(despite how he's shooting, so far, tonight)..

Such an honor to watch Curry, tbh greatest PG I've ever seen..
Wont go that far Magic, Stock even CP3 run an offense better. But im starting to think he is the best shooting/scoring/ball handling pg i have ever seen. May be a better shooter than prime Dirk, Bird, Price, Nash, Ray or Reggie ...not just the best shooting PG.

They are scrapping though. That's how you beat GS - scrap it up, consistent energy and hope they get too showboat-y. Kerr did a great job of reigning that in last year where Mark Jackson could not. But now that they have won one? That will be tough IMO. They are talented enough to overcome, but it does hurt them in-game sometimes.

Or you can have a team like SA with two great perimeter defenders..

I didn't see Magic play, but I wouldn't hesitate to take Curry over the rest, tbh..

Paul is probably a better individual player, but his style of play will never win a championship..the best part about Curry is that he draws more attention than any player in the league even without having the ball in his hands, which is a colossal advantage that you don't get from anybody else, including Lebron..

I am so interested in seeing how Gentry does. Pels were a horrifically coached team but I wonder if Gentry will cut it as a head coach for this team.

Sucks for him that his entire back court is hobbled though..

Not really sure where the Harrison Barnes hype is coming from, I guess just a matter of playing for the Warriors..he doesn't do anything at a notable level..

They should be killing this Pels team, but Pels getting some unexpected shooting & the bench for GS didn't do a very good job offensively at all.

Has he ever had a notable stretch of games in his career? lol dude's contract is going to be worse than Thompson's.
