Boris and West will be able to play together once DWest gets his groove offensively and Pop staggers lineups better so that Manu isn't the best perimeter defender on the court tbh.
Butler is the best bench perimeter defender, so hopefully he'll be the permanent 4th wing going forward instead of Ander .

imo LMA started the energy surge with his put back of his own shot, then his block. He cranked it up, and it became contagious.

Yep. We need a gif of that Boris pass though. It was a work of art.

The Spurs won 60 games with Blair/Bonner being the backup bigs in 2011. They'll be fine with Boris/West tbh.
Blair actually started half that season but you're not going to win a championship trotting out turd towers against bulky opposing second units.

Him and TP, tbh. Hopefully Pop can start running some pick and rolls with LMA next game, though.

Damn missed out on the third quarter explosion. When things start clicking, this team is going to be a juggernaut.

LMA +28 and still "trying to fit in". League should be really scared when he's got our system down.

LMA had a good game TBH. Only 10 points, but he was impactful in all the good ways. Good defense, saving possessions with some boards.

Some guys will be in the doghouse though.
    1. Yes, I agree Aldridge was fine, he acquiesced to a much smaller PPG by signing here but he'll have his big nights. The Aldridge-Duncan pairing is like putting Dez Bryant and Antonio Brown on either wideout end, you better damn well have 2 amazing guys to match up with them or you have to double and get schooled elsewhere.

    2. West and Anderson, I don't know about anyone else though

I hope LMA had fun tonight and is cool with the fact that some games, he just won't get more than 10 points and 10 shot attempts.

The bi-polar, cliff jumping shtick has definitely run it's course. After every bad play or bad game, you can be sure Hater is going to start ing on the forums. Everyone should just put the guy on ignore at this point...I'll start.

Some more notes from the game?

    - Bonner is likely going to be odd man out and on the inactive list this season (along with Simmons). I'd still like him to play spot minutes specifically against OKC though
    - Manu and Tim still look very good
    - The starters and Manu all had huge positive +/- numbers, TD and Aldridge the most because they are a killer combo on both ends when they play together
    - West was the worst player on the court for the Spurs, followed by Anderson
    - Marjanovic can play, but he needs to rein himself in and maximize his natural ability to dominate the middle of the paint and grab easy offensive rebounds. None of those soft floating trash shots
    - The Spurs shot an astonishing 100% from the free throw line!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you are right. We have a lot to figure out still, and I think these old pros will be able to be on the floor against most teams. I still expect to see Timmy and LMA staggered more.
Yea, its going to be critical to figure out a rotation that works. The original idea Pop had, what seemed rational with Diaw/West hasn't worked and you could not have found that out in preseason bc Diaw didn't play. We did know from preseason that Boban is a presence in the paint on D. I expect Pop to stagger minutes more than we have seen previously. Not only do Timmy and LMA need to see minutes with the bench like tonight, but the wing rotation will need tweaking as well. Maybe have one of Kawhi/Danny with the bench and get Kyle with the starters for a few minutes, unless its against the few scorer SF in the league. The starters can use some perimeter playmaking, which is Kyle's strength, whereas the bench can use a perimeter defender to help out.

There is bound to be more mix/match. Boban and Ray should get minutes here and there too. They bring some valuable things and need their chemistry with others as well. Butler is the designated shooter for occasional use, and Simmons/Bonner are suited up. That is it lol

    NO

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't put bad ideas into Pop's brain! The scrub should only be playing in GARBAGE TIME. That's it. Butler is the 4th wing, the end.
