Yuck vs Yuckier tbh... if that's the 2 teams in the super bowl I'll deflate my football and throw it in the dumpster and will hate the sport forever honestly... I guess I'd rather have the Cheatriots win it again over Green Gay, as the one good thing there is that Brady gets to shove it up Goodell's ass again.
I still think the Cowboys can match and even beat the Patriots fully healthy, based on the game from a couple weeks ago. Sure giving up 30 seems like a lot, but it's only 6 more than Seattle in the Super Bowl considering the pathetic Dallas offense with Weeden went 3 and out virtually every time they had the ball.
Going forward, I like Cassel as the starting QB. People will complain about the 3 picks, but only the first one was the real problem because it was a pick-6 and (a) it was 80% Terrance Williams' fault and (b) showed the lack of experience Cassel and TW have together. The second was basically an arm-punt, but the defense let the Giants out of the box and allowed a quick FG drive to the red zone when it should have forced them to punt from their own endzone. The third was a poor decision on Cassel's part on 1st-and-15 in NYG territory, when he had McFadden open in the right flat for an easy 10–15 yards but chose to force it in over the middle to Butler into an armada of defenders. happens. Outside of the pick-6, the difference in the game was 4th quarter special teams. To me, Cassel's performance reminded me of younger Romo more than anything, and is certainly not the ultra conservative statue in the pocket that Weeden is.
The Eagles lost tonight, putting them at 3–4. Next week's game between the Seahawks and Cowboys is a must-win for both teams, and Dez Bryant will be back so the "LOB" will have their hands full. The major hope is the Cowboys win and the Saints continue their winning ways and beat the Giants at home in the Superdome, which will put the Giants back tied in the loss column with the Eagles on bye, and the Giants having one more division loss than the Cowboys. To win the division, the Cowboys absolutely need(ed) to win one of the @ NYG game or the vs PHI game, and since they lost in New York, they must beat the Eagles. The good thing is that the Eagles lost tonight despite Cam Newton having an atrocious game. There's still life, but Cowboys fans are fed the up of losing (4 L's in a row is worst since the 2010 tank year) and they need to pick it up fast before it's too ing late.
