obviously i assumed Paul and Re are ready to go here (they had 4-5 days rest)..but, yes, without them they have little to no chance despite GS seemingly coming down a stratosphere last few games..
Livingston is great close out point guard.
The result tonight isn't surprising. Golden State shot 54% on the game and won with.
Curry had a quiet 37 point game. Very quiet. Shot 56% percent 13-23/5-10 9ast 7to.
They had 20 turnovers, gave up 39 free throw attempts, had less rebounds. Still won.
Their quality of play wasn't that elite tonight but elite enough.
Curry looked agitated in that post game like he didn't really want to talk. Guy may have been upset about his play; unappeased. He needs to relax

We'll lose by double digits.
But i heard that he does not fit...![]()
Look I was kinda skeptical about the money he was asking for but he has proven to be every bit as valuable on both ends. His value as an outlet when teams trap Curry is priceless. ESPN wrote a great article (that amb posted) that focused mostly on the attention that Curry generates with the "gravity" of his range. But the other key part of the article was how Draymond makes the rest of the offense go. he ia averaging almost 7 assists as the "hot route outlet receiver" when teams blitz curry.
I think to beat Gstate over 7 games barring injury you have to lock down curry with a player like Kiwi or Green with man to man defense.Basically put him on Revis island. Dont trap him. I would do a soft hedge and then recover. I would only blitz him in transition because in that case it's a scramble drill anyways and someone will be open and I would rather anyone else shoot a wide open 3, even Klay.
but when you trap Curry in the halfcourt when Green is the screener Curry hits Green at the top drives towards the FT line and is dishing to Bogut/Fezeli for lobs or back to out to Klay or steph for 3. And they force that action because teams cannot go under screens when they play Curry .. they need to switch, hedge hard or blitz. But Curry is like Phillip rivers ...he kills the blitz.
The current Spurs were constructed to defeat the Dubs.
-Danny/Kawhi on Curry/Klay
-Elite bench that can neutralize the Dubs bench
-Dominant/versatile frontline that can match-up w/ any lineup the Dubs put on the floor
-Weaklink on defense that can used as a bait by putting him on Barnes
The series will probably be determined on who wins the LMA/Draymond matchup & they both just got paid big bucks for their services so one of them is going to be the scapegoat. Last time LMA went up against an undersized PF he clubbed him like a baby seal.
