One of the best tank coaches I've seen.
surprising but he deserves a fair shake. Next year should really be the first year where the coach will actually be a factor.
Yeah, not really his fault.
"They want to pay me for going 0-18? Sign me up."
Okafor, Noel, Embiid, Covington, Wroten, Grant, Saric... Wish they had kept McDaniels though. If they can get Simmons and someone good from the draft pick they got from the MCW trade![]()
Honestly don't want to see them get a player like Simmons. Blatant tanking should not be rewarded.
Better them than the Lolkers who are clearly tanking by paying a cancer 25M tbh imo
Good news tbh thought he was on the hot seat.
Glad to see that the FO isn't trying to make Brett Brown a scapegoat, even if some of the fans probably are. I'm sure the casual basketball fan wonders how the he is still sitting in the coaching seat, but "The Process" is a GM decision, not a coaching one. Brett is still playing the young players and trying to develop some sort of culture of learning, despite a few freak injuries to the rooks that are supposed to be carrying the torch.
That being said...this lab experiment has to end sometimes. I figured the Sixers Tank would be rolling for a couple years...we are now three years in and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.
hopefully they get Ben Simmons in the draft..don't want another potential generational talent get dumped in the West..If that happens and Durant goes to Wizards or Miami we can talk about conference balancing out finally..
The writing is on the wall for Hinkie. No way he outlasts Brett Brown now.
Why renew him with the record he has had tbh? At some point you would think he could put out some plan to win at least 1 game this season, not even talking last season.
Then they still don't have but a bunch of guys who would do better elsewhere.
Who is the last team to develop a mid to high level 1st overall pick into a difference maker?
Exactly.
He won a game.
