I know I'm beating a dead horse, but that's the seventh close game for Ws (decided in final minutes or OT). Spurs had the NOP loss and are 2-4 in close games. So 5 games apart in standings, but more like 2-3 expected wins.
Old shtick. Dude isn't even playing.

I guess I keep looking back to what CoJo gave us in that spot and feel underwhelmed, also considering Ray showed glimpses of being more capable last year with the Kings. It seems like his game has regressed and he seems a step slower compared to what I saw from him last year but maybe he needs more time to feel more comfortable with having a much more limited role.
We were spoiled with Cory.
We now have a third string point guard, but it's not like there's no time for him to get better.
People here just get so obsessed with what the talking heads are saying about the team. "Flying under the radar" and all that bull . Those guys are pinheads.
Not surprised since you always try to act like the board police around here. Almost all your posts here are making smart ass comments on someone's posts and trying to pick board spats, but whatever. Do what you want.
I see traces of Costanza in Monaco.
So this is you relaxing?
lol
Now that's the feedback I'm looking for. I got no real beef with you, man.
He didn't do much in Sac. You're probably expecting too much because of that one game against the Spurs when he abused Enrique. Our PG has a bad habit of letting opposing PGs go off tbh.
Speaking of old shticks.
Are you still in touch with your fallen comrade?![]()
I am kind of disappointed in him too. I can't give you a full feedback bc I was watching ants play for a long while the minutes he was there, and then I was more focused on Simmons. But I am disappointed that he's not even looking to score. He could have actually drawn fouls a couple of times, one with a shot fake when he got a guy in the air and then passed out to where he thought Simmons was, and he had moved. The other time he was close to the rim, but he shied away from being aggressive and passed out.
He always looked to move the ball though. You can tell that for sure when he's in the ball never sticks. He finds guys constantly. So at this point, I am starting to think Pop doesn't want to see him showcase his scoring skills like in SL, but just developing his passing.
It's the same as with Danny, you see him do some headscratching things and you have to wonder and think they are Pop sanctioned for his development.
Kyle can be aggressive, we saw that in SL, but here he's not looking to score, but to move the ball. I have seen his passiveness in enough games already that I think it has to be Pop sanctioned. If Pop wanted him to score or be aggresive offensively, he would push him to do that, the way he does Simmons, asking him to run ahead in transition and attack the basket
Defensively he was taken out for a guy he didn't contest for a midrange shot and Pop should absolutely keep him in a short leash defensively. If he's not going to be scoring and he's there to develop, he has to hustle and haul ass, not take this for granted.
At this point, I am all for Pop coaching him hard. Some guys need that.
I live a half hour away from Sac so I get to see plenty of Kings games and I saw a lot of Ray as a King. He had glimpses of smart, heady play and showed ability to score in bunches. His defense was always suspect but he always hustled and was calm on the floor.
I'm friends with him on Facebook. He's a strong person, I have no doubts that he'll persevere and get through this tbh.
You talking about apalisoc?
I appreciate your optimism, but I didn't see it that way. Right now he's fine as a third string PG who never gets into the game, except garbage time. Be nice if he was a third string PG who could take some of the minute load off the others, and keep the ship upright if there was an injury. He didn't show me that tonight. I don't hate him, I just think he looked like a D-League player. Good on Pop for getting him some serious minutes against real compe ion. He'll either get better or he won't.
im surprised it wasn't like this

I think my eyes are bleeding.
Eh, I didn't watch many Sac games but just looking at his boxscores/averages I didn't think he was doing much .
Yep.
Cojo played with our crew for 4 years, it really wasn't until year 3 that he had a lot more impact.
Ray is new and has been on a short string.
Still he may not be on Cojo levels...but Cojo is a really nice player and has been balling for the Raptors really well.
Ray is fine for a 3rd string PG and may yet improve in terms of being more familiar with guys.
Its tough to be on the bench and come out play PG with guys you don't have much chemistry particularly bc PG involves timing on passes and such.
Much easier to be Boban and do your thing, than be a third string PG with no chemistry with guys. IMO.
