If we still had him, we would not have signed Simmons for sure, and Kyle would still be in the dleague I bet.

Simmons' development would have suffered the most, so he would probably be yo-yoing between SA and Austin, and Kyle would be getting some garbage minutes. We might not have gotten Ray.

I've been impressed with the pick and roll defense... that was a concern with losing Tiago and against teams like this one that run P&R non-stop, it looked like it could've been a problem... but we've been great... I'll say even better than last two seasons...

Start of the third will determine if this remains a blowout. Jazz got some momentum there at the end so if they claw within 15 early this will turn into a fight. If the Spurs push it to 30 again they'll quit.

I seriously don't think we would have gotten Simmons if we had Marco, bc what for? Marco was going to be playing all minutes and at that point you have to wonder about Kyle himself, if you have a 4th wing signed to a lengthy contract. It is just pure speculation on my part of course.

Marco's lack of defense made me go crazy through the season, and although I was not on the bandwagon to call him a cancer.. (I don't usually hate on Spurs players that loudly TBH) ... I was not a fan of his.

It didn't help that we could not count on Daye or a very undeveloped Kyle to knock down a shot... but yea, I am not missing Marco as much.

Not a big Marco fan, he was unplayable against good teams and usually gave back on defense whatever he provided on offense. Not worth that money

Yeah, you are right. Simmons would be playing for Brooklyn or some such. I would much rather have Simmons with his upside and D.
