You should revisit 19th century history. When it was the Dukes of York and Austria versus the Ottomans. Christianity spent most of its first 1500 years burning books and murdering dissension. It was only the muslim libraries at Damascus, Baghdad, and Cairo that kept a lot of the work on infinity and rotational motion amongst a whole load of other things.

Sure we ultimately defeated the Ottoman's 100 years ago and gutted them culturally setting various Shia and Baathist groups up as dependent proxies but this cultural arrogance particularly when were with the christians is amusing.
