The Spurs had Bowen he slowed Kobe a bit...he was a formidable opponent..Kobe just had to use a generic brand of Vaseline with that since his asshole was a little tighter..regular KY didn't work on him....

I have Dirk as a bigger Spurs killer (Luckily, Dirk didn't have a Shaq nor a coach with a proven playoff system for the first half of his career [Don Nelson]). And relative to expectation, Derek Fisher is probably the biggest Spurs killer of all, but Kobe did have great playoffs performances against the Spurs in '01 and '08, the latter of which is his best playoff series of all-time.

I'm not THAT impressed with '01, since the Spurs perimeter was an epic pile of at that time, but I to '08. Just incredible.

Duncan is still a bigger Laker killer than Kirby is Spur killer, though.
