BTW, isn't it a technical foul to hang on the rim for no reason?

It's funny. If Baynes played like this regularly he would be a monster.

Just goes to show you the truly great players don't need extra motivation to go out and play well.

The players who are happy to get a contract are fine to show up when they feel like they have something to prove.

After seeing Baynes tonight, I don't miss him on the Spurs.
He only got these much minutes tonight because of Drummond's foul trouble. But I remember Baynes having a career season for us last year (at least in the regular season). No need to rip on the guy, tbh. He was always a great teammate.

Manu needs to rest against the Cavs, IMO... Timmy too
Nah, Spurs play two games in the next five days and then have like three/four days off after the Mavs game . Lots of rest in there

Pop wouldn't be playing Leonard like this if he's sick or injured.

Just a bad game. It happens.

    Is Danny Green injured?
Somebody said he was holding his elbow after that offensive board by Aron.

Yeah, but these refs have been so good, I'm not going to bust their balls over that.

Yeah, it's Blairball. Guys that play for themselves. I remember when Smitty went ing nuts on the Blazers and thought, "how come he doesn't do that every night?"
I think that's an overstatement. A lot of it is playing against guys you're used to playing against everyday in practice, and coaches giving bench guys extra playing time against their old team.

Seriously, there are even some championship teams for the Spurs that lose this game. The Pistons aren't an elite team by any means, but they're 21-16 and have beaten some good squads this year. They're not a pushover.

I think the 99 and 05 teams probably win tonight, the 14 team is a toss-up, they had some issues with games like this, and 03 and 07 could easily flub this away, particularly with our best player dropping a turd.

There are bad wins, but ugly wins aren't always bad wins. We could have done a lot more to lose this game tonight. But this team has more weapons than any Spurs team I think I've ever seen, and that's with Danny being a human wasteland on O.

Best win of the season despite all the obstacles.
Agreed... definitely one of the best.
