I will really be surprised if the Spurs win the first matchup @GS ...
Why, they did last year. What people failed to realize its about matchups. And the Spurs are GS kryptonite.

It's like when GS beat the Mavs back in '08. Mavs went 67-15, but 3 of those losses came against GS, who was coached by Nellie. GS just match up perfectly with the Mavs and the 8th seed beat the 1st seed.

The Spurs trounced them twice last year and the other games the Spurs weren't at full strength.

GSW scrubs hitting everything Just one of those games, tbh. Happens to every team.

Blatt is holding that team back, btw. I got two questions. Why did they change the starting lineup and benched Thompson? They were among the best defensively with him at Center. Second question, did the Cavs even run a single play besides ISO?

All those easy baskets in the paint GSW got.... Yeah that won't happen with two 7 footers down there, guarantee you that lmao.
First you wonder why they changed their starting lineup and inserted a 7-footer in place of an undersized PF and then you claim GS won't score in the paint against 7-footers? Confused...

As for the 2 7-footers you're talking about, I don't see how they'll keep up with GS's PnR offense. We'll see how long the Spurs will survive playing Duncan and Aldridge together on monday.

We will all just have to see if the Spurs can survive GS onslaught. Pop definitely has a lot of work to do. Spurs record and point differential means nothing versus GS.

Dude, the Spurs don't have the likes of Smith and Love on their teams. Horrible Defensive players. Like someone posted, Parker is 15th/16th in the league in defensive efficiency and HE IS DEAD LAST ON THE SPURS.

This year's team is just freakin ridiculous on D. Probably the best defensive team the Spurs have ever had and rivaling the Pistons of the 03-05 seasons. Even Rip Hamilton commented that the Spurs are playing some of the best D he has ever seen.

Look at Green (GSW) against guys like Griffin, Davis, Cousins, Ibaka, etc. These guys score all over him. Green is not a great one-on-one defender, kinda of like Ibaka. LMA should be able to score at will against him, especially if he plays like he has against the Mavs and Piston.

Add Green shadowing Klay on the wings and Kawhi harassing Curry, really, its GS who has their work cut out.

I seriously am not scare of GS. I am more worried about OKC and even the Clips as both matchup better against the Spurs.

Well I do hope that Spurs are GS Kryptonite.

Those Cavs were pathetic, after being insulted by Curry with the "still smells like Champagne" comment, they go out and get embarrassed on the their home court.

I'm sorry, but the Cavs have pretty much thrown in the towel for this season. They are done.

GM Lebron should have kept Wiggins or gotten better trade value.

They are pretty much done. They have $109m in salary this year (you don't get blown out by 30 points with that kind of payroll).

The got $87m salary next year but that is without Irving.

James has seen the writing on the wall, he can't carry a team all by his lonesome. He's only got 2 les to his name and he's already 30 years old. He's going to bolt for a contender!

Lebron's in a pickle. Even in the east there are up and coming teams like Boston and Detroit that will surplant Cleveland. One more move he'll look even more ridiculous.

    Just trade Kevin Love.

That is why Blatt made that comment that Love wasn't a Max Player. I don't think Blatt wants Love on the team. But Lebron did. Remember, Blatt said he wanted to keep Wiggins, but Lebron overruled him and now it is coming back to bite him in the ass.

Why is that salary figure without Irving? He's already under contract next season. I'm pretty sure Mozgov is the only rotation play they have that isn't under some type of contract in 2016-2017, though Smith and James can and probably will opt out.

...Spurs however are dead if they shoot only 18 3's a game.
What does that has to do with winning/losing a game/series?

Thompson is a better defender than Mozgov, and it ain't even close. Lol at not comprehending the difference defensively between Mozgov/Love to Duncan/Aldridge.

You may have a point, but let's not act like Green is Ryan Anderson Lite. Spurs just have to close out on shooters which they've done an excellent job so far.

We'll see how long Spurs can survive? No. More like we'll see how good that midget Raymond can hold up against an actual post presence.

Jesus. After handling these clowns 6 out of the last 7 games, never losing a regular season home game to them since the 90's, having the DPOY, a legit post presence, a better bench, penetrating guards that will expose their lack of rim protection, and playing some of the best defense in league history..... Some of you act like pussies.

Spurs OWN the Worriers. No other way to spin it. The question is how try hard will Pop go next week, he's known for never blowing his full load against a fellow contender.

For you s lacking XY chromosomes :

Tony (when healthy) owns Curry for some weird reason: http://bkref.com/tiny/JOdCk

Iggy (in a Warriors uniform) hasn't been able to handle Kawhi: http://bkref.com/tiny/EmW61

Draymond sucks against the Spurs: http://bkref.com/tiny/mq5zJ

    Kawhi owns Klay: http://bkref.com/tiny/XB3jO

    Bonus:
    -D-West owns Draymond: http://bkref.com/tiny/pFEKH
    -LMA owns Bogut: http://bkref.com/tiny/UD7en

The PnR defense is the biggest thing when playing the Warriors. Kevin love looked ridiculous yesterday playing the pick and role defense with the guard getting caught trying to trap leaving an elite passer in green a wide open lane. All the shots they got yesterday were so wide open. Spurs will not let down like that especially playing the PnR with curry and d green. I just think this summarizes what everyone pretty much expected, the Spurs vs warriors will be a dream for basketball fans with winner being the odds on favorite to win the le. I'd love to see diaw, LMA, and west back down green every single time in the post. Monday's game will be interesting. I'd also like to see how the Bulls play them tomorrow.

Kevin Love is/was a fiasco, there is no other way around media created a star and it was total bull at least in Minny he used to score now he looks like a role player, it was a bet and they though it was safe to trade Wiggins for this clown.

I still maintain that the Spurs' best bet isn't playing Duncan/Aldridge together many minutes. We'd get killed in the PnR with those two out there.

I think Diaw/Aldridge should be the most prominent pairing we'd see in a series against GS. Kawhi/Diaw/Aldridge frontcourt still has plenty of size to overwhelm their small ball, but it's also mobile enough to not get exploited in the PnR. If GS goes with their best lineup (Curry/Klay/Iggy/Barnes/Green), we'd still get mismatches. No way in can Barnes check Diaw, and Aldridge has 4 inches of height on Draymond. On the other end, they're still quick enough to not get completely burned.

I love Timmy but I can't see us winning a series against GS with him playing 30+ mpg. Aldridge and Diaw should both be getting more minutes than him.

Agree, play Timmy with bogut or Ezeli out there. I don't know if warriors will have to much respect for Spurs D to trot out small ball lineup. Let's say they try doing it on Monday and our bigs get the best of the lineup, does anyone think they'd go small again in the next meeting or playoffs?

Gasol will kill them, but may not be enough, the lack of ball movement in the final minutes (iso Rose / iso Butler) is the major problem of the Bulls

Watching love defend last night reminded me of bargnani. They looked awful. It's like they were trying to defend everything and failed miserably. The spurs will pick their poison. I liked what Detroit did letting klay and Stephen go off but we usually try to defend the head of the snake right? So I'd imagine we try to limit Stephen and live with the team coming up with the points namely green.

Dude, Kevin Love is an awesome post player. He's hard as to defend in the paint. The only thing he's better at than post-ups is rebounding. The person who said, "Hey, let's camp him 25 feet from the basket" is an idiot.
