"Steve Nash has done a great job, but this shows the lack of true defense, especially on the pick-and-roll. I didn't think the pick-and-roll was that difficult to guard against, but it must be, because [the Suns are] doing very, very well against other teams with it.

"Phoenix has done a good job with their offense, but it's a simple offense: All they do is run one play. I don't see why it baffles these teams. They set a high pick, and guys go to the three-point line and nobody guards them."

Which is why you saw SA let Amare go wild last year ... PHO's success is based on them getting a lot of 3 for 2 exchanges. Too bad Indiana didn't read this before last night's slaughter.

With all due respect to the great Oscar Robertson; The Suns have 5 plays in their offense not just one.

He is right though, their offense is very simple, but it is also very dynamic. It takes what it can get and adjusts on the fly to how the defense reacts. They space the floor well and just let guys play instead of making them think too much about what offensive set they are in.

Spurs are the only team in the leage that has consistantly limited the Suns offense and even then not so much when the Suns are healthy.

Didn't the Suns average like 107 or so points against the Spurs last playoffs?

It is not like the Spurs stopped the Suns cold. It was more like the Suns couldn't stop the Spurs as all, and the Spurs stopped them just a bare fraction.

The Spurs game-plan against the Sun is to not wear out for the first 43 minutes trying to stop the chaos that is the Sun's offense. Just hang around with them, play their game, THEN turn up the defense & get the "W". It works 85% of the time. It takes discipline, and a plan, but the fact that all the games are "close" but end with a Spurs "W" is no coincidence.

I was wondering the same thing.

Udrih has one steal against the Suns this year in three games played.

The reason Phoenix fans get so baffled when the Spurs own their team is because they fail to realize that the whole Nash Offense has been around the Spurs for like 5 or 6 seasons now. Mavs at their peak (pre AJ) had the same kinda feel to their offense. Spurs had less success with that team, than the Phoenix team, cuz of Dirk. But Amare likes to go inside, so thats one less 3 point shooter. Spurs can handle 4 bad ass three point shooters, but 5 gave them trouble
