Sadly, with the advent of light skin s, he is never going to get the attention he deserves.

You guys think people are going to either naturally underrate him or hate him because of his look? Just like Lebron...

Honestly, Lebron is a stand up dude; a far better role model than the likes of jordan or kobe. Never understood why he's always gotten a ton of hate. OP may be on to something...

I agree, doesn't deserve the kind of hate he receives. Jordan was more of a jerk.

Might be because expectations for Lebron was sky high when he was drafted.

Jordan was NEVER hyped like LeBron. I heard of LeBron james when he was in seventh ing grade. He was a 13 year old kid already considered an NBA prospect. Would have gone top 5 as a 16 year old sop re. That is absurd.

LeBron gets hate because people love to bring down superstars, especially in sports. There's certainly a case to be made for race influencing it as well, but it's not only limited to that.

He got a lot of heat for the Miami Heat fiasco but even then his fans far outnumbered his haters.

The Decicion, how he handled leaving Clevland to join the Heat seemed to piss some fans off at the time.

Cornrows and dark skin can play a role in popularity but it's not the main thing that holds Kawhi back. Allen Iverson was popular during the late '90s and early '00s despite having tats and corn rows. Kawhi is not a charismatic personality and doesn't have the marketability to be popular. Curry is a light skinned and looks like a 10 year old but what sets him apart from Kawhi is that he seeks attention hence him always propping his family in front of the TV during big games. Also Steph is obsessed with endorsements. Kawhi is not about endorsements and media attention which will hurt him when it comes to popularity. This doesn't bother me since I have been a spurs fans for 20 plus years. I got to see most of Drob's career and all of Duncan's career. David got a lot of hype and endorsements early on his career and didn't get hated up until the '95 WCF. Duncan didn't get the respect he deserved at the start of his career but he has it now since he is regarding as a top 10 player of all time. Kawhi is not a generational player like Duncan and that is why it doesn't bother me he doesn't get any attention. In conclusion OP is a dumbass like usual.

current sports fans are so short sighted

many many more legends shall arrive

even Chamberlain could be challenged someday

but objectively, statistically NO ONE HAS COME CLOSE

in my opinion, the true problem of the NBA is how to market someone that could come close to Wilt

and no one has ever done it

    Sabonis could have

    Hakeem fell short

Jabbar cannot rebound, hahahahaha, not a true center

    so, what then??

    MJ is the greatest offguard

    and then after that??

    NOTHING
