I was thinking this, but with Matt injured it just seems more likely. I'm really happy for Simmons getting this opportunity. He is not someone I see getting minutes in the playoffs. KM and Miller have a lot of experience.

For some reason I have a bad feeling Simmons is the one getting cut...hopefully I'm wrong though and it's Bonner. Almost positive Butler isn't being cut.
Regardless, great newsNot sure how much he'll help, but it's certainly worth a shot. Lack of 3-point shooting is one of the few weaknesses on this team, and Martin is a career 38% shooter with good volume. Think he'll do nice in a Belinelli-esque role, just hope Pop doesn't play him over Green too much.
Cut Matt, then turnaround and hire him as an asst coach or something so that he can stay on the Spurs bench
If anything be used to run off screens and tire out the opposing guards chasing him around. Miller and Ginobili will constantly be looking for a roaming Martin off the bench. This is gonna be in great.
Question: How many games before ST starts complaining about Martin's defense? He's Marco-esque on that side of the ball tbh.
If Simmons is cut it would be the worst move the spurs have made in a long, long time and he won't last 10 seconds on waivers before coming back to haunt the spurs for YEARS

No way. People get thrashed for even saying one bad thing about Bonner here.
He is ineligible to be signed for the playoffs if he gets waived. So all he will be doing is auditioning for a tanking team that will prefer to play younger and rawer players than a 35+ year old.
Maybe they'll cut Bonner but let him sign again in the summer. Miami just did that with Udrih. Say what you want about bonner, but he's a guy who is loved by the vets/pop. They might want to let him finish his career there

Bonner is done.. the fact that he was on an NBA roster at all this year was an accomplishment in itself.
