Organizers are abuzz with an event that could have a great impact on the amount of money raised for charities. Currently on his *Farewell Tour* is the L.A. Lakers Kobe Bryant. As an outgrowth of this staged event is many NBA players loosening up, and in some cases completely stopping playing defense on Bryant. Which gave Maurice Bertlestein an idea. "I thought how great would it be if, for a donation, people throughout the U.S. could step out onto the court and have a chance to let Kobe score on them!? A good number of people would be willing to pay for this."
Retired NBA referees have volunteered to help out. "If the all time recipient of food stamps want's me to give him a few more, for a good cause then why not?" said Bob Delaney.
Event planners estimate upwards of 20 billion dollars could be raised, and also talk of taking the charity event overseas.
Nadia Lockwood, a camera and photography expert said she envisions this type of scene worldwide.
