I think she does a great job, and I have used several of her 30-Minute Meal recipes. I also liked the show she did with the contestants on the "Next Food Network Star" show last week.
Rachel's weight in general fluctuates pretty drastically. I have often wondered if her "plump" stages come immediately following filming a season of "$40 a Day",.
I like Giada, too, and I have used several of her recipes. I guess I've used more of Paula Deen's and Rachel's recipes then anyone's, although I have used a couple of Sandra Lee's (I love her shortcuts on "Almost Homemade"). I really don't care what the female chefs looks like. Having said that, I would like to point out that Bobby Flay is hot, but not nearly as hot as Michael Chiarello!That guy can cook for me anytime.
I like Alton Brown...but he's not hot.

Alton Brown is awesome - I dig the science part of his show since if I know why I'm supposed to do something a certain way, I'm much more likely to remember to do it.
But yeah, wouldn't hit it. And sorry, Pache, but every time I see Bobby Flay I think "leprechaun"

it has been said before, but rachel ray is one of the worst tippers ever. it's easy to pull off $40 a day if you screw the people serving you. what's worse is i imagine it encourages bad tipping for a lot of people watching. unless it's the worst service you have ever had, tip 20%. for someone making $2.50/hr, the 5%-10% she leaves is a slap in the face.
I happen to like Rachel Ray. When I'm off from work, I watch 30 Minute Meals at 5 and 5:30. When I'm at my sisters house and I'm watching it there, my nephew tells me, "Damn...that is annoying, change the channel."
