Great news for compe ive teams. The less compe ion..the better
Woj also backed up the report, so there's a good chance Byron remains.

The rumored plan was to entice Jackson back to L.A. then bring Walton in as head coach...
He'll be fired and Randy Wittman will be hired, or Derek Fisher.
Fuuck!!!!
"a coach with more losses then any other man to coach 1,000 NBA games...."
I thought article said Phildo would remain in NY for '16-17, complete the ruination of the Knicks (including sign Rambis) and then come back to the Lakers for
17-18. Yes?
But that Dolan is thinking of blowing Phildo out as we speak. Did that squinty eyed shister ever really try to make the Knicks better? Cannot believe he gave MarshMello a deal. A true rebuild would have been jettison him. Also hearing that as ty as a coach as Derek Fisher was, Phildo was undermining him.
Laker kuuunts.
What a bunch.
It's not like the Lakers would be relevant again anytime soon, whoever coaches the team.
I'm guessing they aren't going to make any other coaching commitments until they see how free agency shakes out. The smart move of course would be to rebuild and develop talent, and hire a coach that would best facilitate that. But I'm sure they'll just blow their wad and overspend on free agents - which will lead to Scott being fired anyway when they inevitably underperfom.

Since they'll still be tanking for the next 2-3 years....
It's the right decision IMO.
