They just have to hope they can keep their pick this year. If they do, they will actually get out of that Nash trade decently. With a good coach and some smart FA signings, I think they'll get to like the 10th pick.

It is really shameful how the organization treats the non-gold egg laying staff.

Scott, as horrible as he was as a coach, did everything management asked/wanted him to do,m and now they are treating him as the scapegoat.

Yeah, but he's still not a good coach. They need a good coach, not a babysitter any longer.

Scotts hiring/firing was all pre arranged by Lakers Marketing Inc.
He would come in and facilitate Kobme getting all the minutes while burning deserving players.
Laker Cult members would buy tickets to Kobme games and merchandise.

    Take the blinders off.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15...e-worst-season

Scott, at 38-126 (.232), had the worst record of the 16 Lakers coaches who spent at least two seasons at the helm of the team. Scott, whose 454-647 career record stands more games under .500 than that of any other veteran coach in NBA history, finished last in his division in each of his past five seasons as an NBA head coach.
Didn't know that, but not surprised at all.

He has also coached the Nets, the New Orleans Hornets and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He led the Nets to two NBA Finals in his first head-coaching job, and he won the NBA's Coach of the Year award with the Hornets in 2008.
More proof CP3 deserved it that year. For shame.

Scott knew the drill. They paid him handsomely to not care about winning or his reputation. His job was to be a shield for Kobe in the media/locker room & to lose with a smile on his face.

He did exactly what LA wanted and for that he was paid millions of dollars. That's pretty loyal IMO.
