England didn't deserve to win today. Russia dominated the entire second half, and if not for some god awful goal keeping on the English free kick goal the Asians would have won the game.

England absolutely dominated the game and then shrunk back defensively allowing the Russians to just hopefully punch long balls into the box. Bad tactics. Russia is pitiful when pressed properly.

As crazy as soccer is, you predicting winners is laughable. It's not that difficult to predict who will win whole tournaments. Just pick Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and Italy for long term WC.

England dominated the game period. If you think otherwise, either you did not watch the game, or you don't know the game. And I have no dog in the fight. I just like to watch teams that at least try to change their stodgy old ways that have not worked which happens to be England. Their past showings have been very poor. Their own fans are merciless on them.

If one seriously watched the England v. Russia game and thinks it deserved a draw... you don't know what the you are watching. It's very simple. Russia absolutely sucks. England outplayed them badly. But these results are not unusual in this crazy game.

But when you don't have an actual stake in the teams or games, it's rough football to watch, tbh... those games I'm watching for entertainment value, and a lot of times it's just not there. There's no player with magical talent that makes you want to watch in most of those teams (maybe CR7, or Robben, when Zizou was playing, or Baggio... the Xavi/Iniesta Spain, etc)... it's not hate, tbh, it's just the reality of the game right now. I know englandfan might disagree, but people that watch England nowadays are just looking to see if there's a lol at the end of the game. It gets kinda repe ive after a while.

oh I totally agree

The copa is very exciting as teams wilt and don't get back. It turns end to end football which is extremely entertaining. But practically the US, for instance, is not going to totally throttle a European team like they did Costa Rica in a big tournament. The US being fit is a huge advantage. Because talent wise... Bleh.
