Yeah, if our big FA signing is Hibbert, we are ed.
How? Hibbert on the Spurs would be pretty good...

Maybe that was a bit harsh, but I don't see Hibbert being the answer. The guy just fell off a cliff in terms of production.

I heard that same exact bull when Miami's big 3 formed. Nobody said that until they faced the Mavs. Now you are calling them unbeatable.
That team had no depth and was giving heavy minutes to horrible players like Mike Bibby and Joel Anthony. The Warriors could salary dump Bogut and would still have some really nice bench players in Iguodala and Livingston. And they'd have the cap room to hold onto Ezeli's cap hold so they could go over the cap to sign him. That's a pretty devastating 7 man rotation.

Religious or not, everybody pray that he stays in OKC, tbh..if he goes to GS, nobody else has a shot, not even a puncher's chance..
I still believe he wants to come here to play classball

Ironically, Golden State losing in the Finals actually upped their chances of landing Durant. While the Spurs losing to OKC in the playoffs essentially eliminated theirs.

If the Spurs had beaten OKC in the 2nd round and lost to the Warriors in the WCF, and if the Warriors had gone on to win the championship, Durant could very well have signed with the Spurs this offseason.
Ridiculous. The Spurs have a better chance than if they had beaten OKC because KD knows that he's the missing piece.

Mavs just signed Dwight Powell to a 4yrs/37 millions contract. I am afraid that Gasol won't come cheap at all.

I don't think beating the Spurs has anything to do with his decision. He knows the Spurs are a great team, even after eliminating us he praised the Spurs. It's not like we've never beat Durant in the playoffs. He knows that he's at least western conference championship bound if he joins the Spurs.

If he joins the Warriors it's probably mainly because of two reasons. Their three best players are under 30, and are all top 20 players at least. They have no worries of any of their players committing long term. Their coach is young, has a solid system and will be there for a while as long as they're winning.

Spurs best pitch they have to offer is their best player is year younger than Thompson and Green, and the best two way player in the league. He would also be the number one option in SA, wich he wouldn't truly be with the Warriors. Pop and KD have a great relationship. I'm pretty sure a 70 year old Pop in three years isn't committed to coaching the Spurs past that, and he might not have trust in either Udoka or Messina being the next head coach for the Spurs.
If it isn't already working against the Spurs, I believe Pop's age will soon be detrimental to their pursuit of free agents.

We're still in it. I'd imagine the second he said no the Spurs would be linked with Pau with some sort of offer. But i hope he stays so there remains four elite teams in the West. This year the clips got injured, but I think they would've knocked off the warriors if they were healthy. We may not go into this season stacked but as we have seen championships require some fortune as well.

I want to see him go. OKC would crumble (still would be good, WB would go nuts next year) from contender status and it would be bonkers to watch KD/GS.

However, SA likely isn't a favorite anyways next year. This would give SA a year to see how GS turns out then really make plans to aggressively improve next year (When SA would likely have to do their work anyways).

Does it mean that SA (or even Celtics) is still in the mix? I mean why not Gasol announce immediately if Durant's choices is between OKC or GSW.

Soooooooooo... that means Diaw is getting traded? Especially if Manu wants to come back at a steeper price?

I'll be fine with 2 yrs/$30 million for Gasoft .
