Kevin Durant withdrew from World Cup of Basketball after watching Paul George horrifically break his leg in a Team USA scrimmage in Las Vegas.
At the time of the announcement, Durant claimed that George's injury had nothing to do with his decision to withdraw.
"It took everything out of me seeing that," Durant later told friend Randy Williams and a Nike executive at his camp of George. "Everything I had to play for Team USA, that injury stripped it away from me."
After Durant is shown reacting on court to what he called a "freak accident," the scene shifts to conversation with Durant in which he says, "When you see something like that, so gruesome, in front of you, of course you're going to think, ‘This could happen to me.' "

Reigning MVP will have multiple rings by 2020, book it.
Though the count of pussies he'll have got by then will remain the same as mine, tbh.
He's too much of a pussy to win 1
reigning finals MVP?
he might be a pussy, but unlike the other pussy who didnt goto greece cause he was afraid of terrorism, but had no problem modeling wearing a turban....
Last year's MVP isn't "reigning". It's a reward for what you did last year. Championships are different, in a way. You cannot really defend a championship as it's not handed around like a boxing le, however it sells tickets to say "defending champs" in the NBA. In 10 years, the Spurs are still the 2014 NBA champs. No one refers to a NBA champion as "former champs". They say "5 time champion". No one says that when a fighter loses and then regains the le "2 time champion".
I hate Durbeta, but this is a reach. He doesn't want to end up like Robert Edwards, ruining his career in an absolutely meaningless event.
I'm with Durant here. international compe ion, the world championships, the olympics, and playing for free.
Called it, while that with a fat wife was singing Westbrook's praises, calling him a winner.
