The last 2 fanbases of his teams grew to hate him, hopefully this fanbase won't have a reason to
Good thing Spurstalk is rational and forgiving.

Gasol at $15M starting allows the Spurs to keep Diaw and have about $2.5 million in capspace if Tim retires as expected.
They still gotta pay Bertans if they plan to bring him over.. think 2.5 is enough?

How the do they afford that deal?

Dumping Boris or Green, and they are really screwed if they dump Green. Dumping Boris won't be too smart either.

Yeah gotta keep green but if the bench weakens anymore not sure how we improve overall

I'll say this though, it's cool of Pau not to take the 2/40 whatever it was that the Blazers were offering. His market is obviously more than what he signed with the Spurs especially with what some of these scrubs were signing for.

Feels like a letdown after missing out on KD but it'll keep us compe ive.
We all knew snagging KD was a pipe dream, him going to GS is a bummer. Gasol to the Spurs is great for us, let's beat them in the paint while they shoot the lights out.

Gasol at $15M starting allows the Spurs to keep Diaw and have about $2.5 million in capspace if Tim retires as expected.
Maybe playing with another big who is an excellent passer will revive Diaw's interest. Otherwise, he is total dead weight.

Not sure but maybe the team can trade Tim's contract to open up more space?

I'm very worried about the drop in defense.

Perimiter D will have to be even stronger and hopefully smart system and gameplan will also compensate for some of the drop.

Gasol was very bad defensively on the Bulls.

I would guess he's a minimum salary player and most of that $2.5M goes to LJC.

No bs, Mahinmi would have been better at 4/64, and it sounds doable from the yearly raises.

Now just crap defense, crap defensive rebounding, and whining over not getting enough touches.

Pau can't play against Golden State, OKC doesn't matter anymore, and isn't taking a big enough discount to leave room for anyone else.

Initial reaction I have is very, very pessimistic.
