I don't get the Durant hate-- he's a free agent, he looked around at what opportunity would most likely lead to a championship, and he chose it. Seems like a pretty sound basketball decision to me. If he stays with OKC, the same sarcastic critics would remark that he signed on to be Russ's sidekick. Sorry, but if I'm him, I do the same thing. The Warriors have a better team, better contracts, better teamwork, and a brighter future. Going back to OKC for sentimental reasons is the move that would've been beta... He did the smart thing.

I think 65 wins for the Warriors next season is likely. It remains to be seen how Durant in that system will fit, they do rely heavily on the 3's. The adjustment period at the start of the season, they will probably lose a few games. I don't think they will go 73-9 again, even with Durant.

    82-0, lol.

so much salt in this thread , it's awesome. So the what if he signs with them , Lebrkn stared this goty trend. Lebron ruined the NBA and you guys praise him like crazy. Most notably OP and Midnight pulp . I see nothing wrong with this, I doesn't guarantee anything minus the fact that the Spurs ain't ringing anytime soon.
Kobe started this trend by getting Malone and Payton, then again begging to get Kidd (and actually got one better with MVPau), then a third time with Nash and Dwight.

You are silly if you really believe Kobe helped land any of those guys. The only guy that really sought out Kobe was Artest.
Shaq was the one that recruited Malone and Gp convinced FO thry would take less to come ...
But none of those guys were in their prime so its apples to oranges

I know you like to deny these things, but facts remain the same.

Well, Kobe didn't have the charm and attraction of Shaq that's for sure, no one wants to get cancer just for the of it, and you are right, Shaq was the cheese that attracted Malone and Payton but Kobe was the reason with all that whining. Little did Malone and Payton know they had this Kobe/Nessa cancer trap waiting for them, making Malone ringless, and forcing Payton to team with Wade (and Shaq again) for another ring 2 years later. Artest seeked out Kobe is one thing, Kobe begging for help is the other. He begged and got HoF lineup in 04, then he begged and got MVPau (couldn't even beg right, got a better version of what he wanted though, MVPau >>>>> Kidd), then begged and got Nash and Dwight. The second he tried to act alpha (I will teach you how to win), he drove away Dwight. he should have left it at "You can come be my MVPau" (read: You can come and lead me to multiple championships before I take all your credit and throw you under the bus)

Yeah, picking up Malone and Payton in full TOSB mode is the same as lets say, picking up Wade, and Bosh in their primes, o yeah and Ray Allen. Great logic. The Lakers TRADED for Pau, so thats a totally different story.
