Westbrook shot under 40% for the series and AVERAGED 4.4 turnovers a game. How is that even possible over a 7 game series?

but will receive all the blame from the many "fans" that dislike seeing a Black man express himself, on and off the court, tbh..
You honestly can't see a basketball purist disliking Russ for basketball reasons? He shoots way too many threes, makes bad decisions late in games, has horrible body language... it has nothing to do with race. He's incredibly talented & incredibly athletic, but his intangibles are negatives to me, not positives.

Plus, I'll say this: I don't really see Russ saying much that would scare people. He's a pretty standard post- Jordan player who doesn't talk politics/social issues etc for fear of losing endorsements.... Has Westbrook ever taken a public stand on a controversial social, like Bill Russell, Bill Walton, and countless others? The last guy I saw doing that was Steve Nash.

For his postseason career, Westbrook has shot 24-of-84 in NBA defined crunch time (Last 5 mins, ahead/behind by 5)

He's basically Marbury,Francis,Baron Davis all fused into 1 player. All 3 of those guys were super inefficient players and he'll be no different.

Russ had a great playoff run, that's 2 in a row where he clearly outplays Dominos, but will receive all the blame from the many "fans" that dislike seeing a Black man express himself, on and off the court, tbh..
Bull , he's a modern day (with a bigger frame), glorified version of Allen Iverson. He'll give you insane out put statistically but at the expense of bone headed plays and complete inefficiency. His high motor and intensity will never make up for the fact that he isn't natural point guard and doesn't have a very high BBIQ.

As the "head of the snake," a majority of the blame rests on his shoulders. Just like when the Spurs fail, no matter who the best player on the team is, jackasses around here place the blame squarely on Tony Parker's shoulders (sometimes deserved like last postseason) without fail.

Although, most of the blame goes to (IMHO) management for failing to find a third star ( replacing James Harden's efficient, versatile production in OKC with Waiters, Kanter and Ibaka) and Roberson not being a good enough shooter to fully replace Thabo Sefolosha.

What a shocker that Durant doesn't want to play with Westbrook.

Why would you want Westbrook? The guy has an insanely low basketball IQ. He is the opposite of what the Spurs need.

I'd prefer to keep Pop coaching the Spurs, and not locked up in jail for murder, tbh.

Russ has been their best player for 2 consecutive playoff runs..he more than likely informed Dominos that he doesn't intend on staying in OKC past next season, obviously..

This strange infatuation from the new-age media and softies like Cry Havoc with Durant is sickening..

Except being, you know, one of the worst crunch-time players in the modern era.

What the are you on about? I haven't liked Durant in years. He went from being a cool guy loving the game of ball to an asshole who whined about every call about 3+ years ago.

Craft that narrative and spin it, Harlem. It's all you know how to do.

    Infatuation with Durant.

From OKC's perspective, this season has been a disaster in many ways, but the worst thing has been Westbrook's heroballing while Durant was hurt. The biggest problem this team already had was Russ wanting to shoot more than Durant, and now I'm sure he's more convinced than ever that he should lead the team in shot attempts. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if this is a bigger issue than ever next season, with the final result being that it turns out to be Durant's final season there.

more and more media and sources reporting that Westbrook and his OKC teammates were growing unhappy with Durant..

The corny fans all over this thread want you to believe that Dominos wanted to get away from the "cancerous teammate", but the reality is that all the players on OKC's roster were growing frustrated with Durant's lack of leadership and quitting..

As Woj said on his show, today:

“And there’s no question, I know Russell [Westbrook] was bothered by — and other teammates were too — of, like, there was some knowledge there that Draymond [Green] was in contact with Kevin [Durant] all season long and they’re in a playoff series and I know there was some conversation around the Thunder team of ‘hey man, this guy kicked Steven Adams in the nuts twice in this series and what are you doing hanging out with this guy? What’s the relationship? We’re trying to beat these guys.’”
