That has to be my favorite menory as a Timmy and Spurs fan. My gal and I had already bought airline tickets to San Antonio and we knew we would either get to see game 7 of the WCF series if the Spurs lost game 6 or games 1 and 2 of the finals if the Spurs won. Our flight was the morning after the game 6 win against OKC and we celebrated that win all night until we left for the airport.
    Nice memories man!

Being at the AT&T Center, seeing Tim get number 5 against the Heat. I was with my son, on Father's Day, right after his baseball team won the city championship for his age group. Best Father's Day Ever!

On the court? The 3 vs the Suns ...
Off the court? Tim calling his le shot at end of the game in the WCF when they clinched the rematch vs. the Heat ... "We have four more [games] to win,” the Spurs' big man told TNT's David Aldridge. “We’ll do it this time.
That was some pure OG .

The game 6 vs. LA in 2003 is my favorite, it was posted earlier in the thread..

Game 5 vs. the Knicks in 1999 is #2..I was at this game, it has become a forgotten series for non-Spurs fans, partly due to the lockout and the fact that it was sandwiched between Jordan's Dynasty and the Lakers threepeat..31 points doesn't sound like a lot, but remember the pace and style of play of the NBA at the time..this was to close out the series and win SA its first le..his moves were so smooth and he was so mobile, a lot of people forget how athletic and quick he was for his size/position..

The duel between Duncan and Sprewell was just incredible to watch.

That was some pure OG .
thing was this wasnt Draymond who is always woofing ...
This was classy, quiet "boring" Tim Duncan...
Saying he was gonna beat the Heatles

I was shocked ...and he moved up over Kobe for me when they did it.
    Much props ...

What I will remember most about Timmy is that he would always be the last player to leave the court after a win. He would wait for all his teammates regardless of who they were before he would walk back into the tunnel. I think it is the little things that I will remember about him the most. How he would hug the ball before a game. The pranks he played on his teammates on the sidelines. His expressions after a foul or bad call. The guy was locked in when he played and he competed every game. I never could say Tim took a game off. In 19 years, when he played, he never took a game off. He competed because he was a man of principle and integrity. I guess this is what I will miss the most:

My wife never talks about any of the games we attended, except that one. It was the first time we had lower level seats, so of course we were into it. On that play, when Manu passed to Tim, she says I yelled "WHAT THE ??? NOOOO!!"(because Tim's not a 3 point shooter) And then the shot when in, and my wife claims I jumped up and down and screamed like a girl.

That was a great game, for sure.

Fantastic post. We may all remember specific plays, but I suspect we will all find that those are the things we miss the most.

I liked his demeanor. Everyone else makes the game seem like its some life or death struggle, like putting some ball through a hoop is like Superman saving the world from nuclear annihilation. Duncan treated it like a game, like fun. I remember those tough years when Phil Jackson joined the Lakers, how demoralizing it was to lose to them, but it seems as if TD didnt get demoralized, because it was just a game. He never got beat mentally or spiritually. Always on island time.

That game is easily my favorite moment in Tim's career, though this one ain't bad either:

Can yall imagine how much greater the 2003 moments would have been, had nearly every one of them not been tainted by Tom ing Tolbert? Vomit.

One of them for sure is Game 6 in 2013. I know 6 is very painful but watching him go all out and almost win it for us at that age? That man was the definition of the heart of a champion.
He dominated that first half. A prime Duncan would've finished with 50 in a game like that.

My favorite Spurs memory will always be the 2014 le, but if I have to pick a Timmy specific one I'm going with him coming through for us in 2005 when it started to look like we were going to let that le slip away. Game 7 3rd quarter he really rallied the team around him and got us back in the game, where Manu finished it for us.

Duncan sweeps the Lakers in 99. Phil not winning a game and thinking he's earned the right to talk sh** with that asterisk sh**. Lakers fans running with it, exposing themselves as the morons they are; then Duncan murdering the Lakers in 03 as an F you, I remember what you said.

But if I had to pinpoint an exact moment, I'd probably look for something in 05 Game 7 vs Pistons.

Honorary mention to Duncan trolling Dwight though.

I'm more of a lurker here, but I had to respond to this post with a personal favorite memory of when I met Tim. I was working at Wherehouse music here in SA, and right before we were to close for the night, I was windexing the tall glass doors, getting the finger/hand smudges off them, when up comes Tim Duncan with a friend, and he sees what I'm doing, so he reaches as high as he can, and opens the door leaving a full hand print, I'd need a ladder to clean that LOL, and I tell him "good one" he turns around and flashes a big smile at me.

Hated the * too but Phil didn't coach the 1999 Lakers, it was Kurt Rambis who had taken over for the fired Dell Harris.

I loved Tolbert that postseason. I was dying laughing when he said the Spurs were in full arousal mode in that fourth quarter. Or in game 6 of the LA series when they showed a shot of LA and Tolbert said all he could think of was emphysema while looking at all the smog.
