Like the avatar, Duncan and Chigurh, both silent assassins.
Lefty sent me a PM with that joke. All credit to Lefty.

Duncan held up spurs game to watch FOOTBALL
Hate to admit being an old man and probably watched more past Spurs games than I will future games. But still remember the day it was announced that we were leasing the Dallas Chaparrals for three years and were going to be called the San Antonio Gunslingers. Thank goodness that name never showed up on an official box score. It took less than twenty games to pass up the Chaps previous season attendance.
Had a few days of angst thru the years. Refs bad calls in the 1979 Washington Bullets playoff series, the Rod Strickland turnover in 1990, the .4 shot in 2004 Manu's foul on Dirk in 2006, and game 6 vs. Miami in 2013. I dealt with the angst by saying to my self " next time ".
Well Timmy has retired and another day of angst has come upon me. And the sad part is I can't say " next time ".
Thanks Tim, for everything.
It's really nice to read all the NBA players recognizing both his talent and amazing character...he really is one of a kind
Shaq has been showing Timmy some serious love these past couple years.

It will hit me again when he's not on the court at the beginning of the season.
The video of the footwork, hands, etc... will be used by coaches forever.
He lives on.
Next year's Heisman winner, potentially.
This is very a sad day for me. It's just hard to process the fact that TD's not stepping on the court again for the Spurs.
What an amazing 19 year career we just witnessed. All with the same team on top of that. We have been so fortunate to have #21 on our side.
What a treat to watch Tim's entire career unfold in San Antonio with success I could never have imaged as a life long Spurs fan going back to the beginnings of SA's entry into the NBA.
Time marches on - present and future Spurs will provide high quality basketball. Make no mistake, though, things will never be the same going forward.
Well done Timmy, Well done.
got ass Max Kellerman said Duncan is a Top 12 player. This is the dip they picked to replace Skip Bayless on First Take... So don't expect any Spurs coverage from them anytime soon.
He's a Kobe that guaranteed the championship when they landed Dwight
Just wish he got to eliminate the Rockets. those er at clutchfans are lucky they avoided him.
