I guess you would rather that I, who has been legally in the country for almost 30 years (most of them as a citizen), leave than bringing in thousands of Syrian refugees,

Trump Cut Off By Bulk Email Vendor for Epic Spamming

Who could have imagined this? As we noted a week ago, the Trump camp's massive fundraising blitz ending up hitting legislators in numerous foreign countries as well as spamming a seemingly limitless number of victims around the world.

    According to ReturnPath,
79% of Trump fundraising emails were caught in spam filters, an extremely high rate by industry standards, seemingly because Trump was using purchased or rented lists rather than ones the campaign had grown organically through campaign-related supporter sign ups.

In any case, this led to problems.

At least one of the bulk email platforms Trump's campaign was using to send between 50 and 60 million emails moved rapidly to suspend his access because the "email in question has raised serious security and legal concerns among Adestra and other industry leaders."
    From Campaign and Elections ...

Adestra, a U.K.-based email service platform, confirmed to C&E that within the last 48 hours it suspended service to Paramount Communication Group, the Beltway-based company working directly with Trump’s digital team who was reselling the platform's services.
“Adestra, a leading global provider of innovative marketing technology software and services, has suspended services to one of its agency clients, which recently sent an email on behalf of the Trump Campaign,” Henry Hyder-Smith, co-founder and CEO of Adestra, said in a statement. “The email in question has raised serious security and legal concerns among Adestra and other industry leaders.”

Hyder-Smith added: “If we believe that a client is misusing the platform or not adhering to the high standards to which Adestra is committed, we may exercise our contractual option to suspend their service from sending email while still allowing them access to our products and their data.”

If you read a website that uses headlines like "Here is (*THING*) That The Media Doesn't Want you To See" and you can find countless examples of (*THING*) in the media with a simple Google search, you should stop reading that website because they have no respect for you.

Then again Trump wanted to take advantage of this tragedy for political gain.

Thanfully, New York Police chief shot the clown down.

"Our interest is staying out of the politics of the moment, not to provide photo ops," Bratton said in response to a question from a reporter. "If Mr. Trump wants to speak to me, I would be happy to brief him on what we’re doing.

Wharton Students to Trump: You Do Not Represent Us

some members of the Wharton community are fed up with their famous alumnus.

A recent open letter, penned by current and former Wharton students and directed at their own brethren as well as the public at large, has a stern and unequivocal message for the real estate mogul: "You do not represent us."

"At the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, students are taught to represent the highest levels of respect and integrity.

We are taught to embrace humility and diversity. We can understand why, in seeking America's highest office, you have used your degree from Wharton to promote and lend legitimacy to your candidacy," the open letter reads.

"As a candidate for president, and now as the presumptive GOP nominee, you have been afforded a transformative opportunity to be a leader on national and international stages and to make the Wharton community even prouder of our school and values.

However, we have been deeply disappointed in your candidacy."

Last night’s horrific execution-style shootings of 12 Dallas law enforcement officers – five of whom were killed and seven wounded- is an attack on our country. It is a coordinated, premeditated assault on the men and women who keep us safe.

We must restore law and order. We must restore the confidence of our people to be safe and secure in their homes and on the street.

The senseless, tragic deaths of two people in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done.

This morning I offer my thoughts and prayers for all of the victims’ families, and we pray for our brave police officers and first responders who risk their lives to protect us every single day.

Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like they’ve lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isn’t the American Dream we all want for our children.

This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies.
I guess, he does sound vaguely presidential, and pedestrian. Boring and doesn't sell well, I can see why "the media" treated it like a bowl of leftover oatmeal.

Funny that Trump says "two people", and glosses over the issue.

    FWIW:
I mourn for the officers shot while doing their sacred duty to protect peaceful protesters, for their families & all who serve with them. -H
Also pretty much expected, and boring.

So what does "the media" pick up on? Outrage, because that is what sells.

Mrs. Clinton has not put as much emphasis on the issue of criminal justice in the general election campaign. That approach is expected to change after the deaths of Mr. Castile and Mr. Sterling and the killings in Dallas.

If Mr. Trump intended to project a measured reaction to the shootings, his campaign’s state chairman in Virginia, Corey Stewart, went sharply in a different direction.

Mr. Stewart, who is also reported to be planning a run for governor in Virginia in 2017, posted on Facebook as news of the shooting was developing, explicitly blaming Mrs. Clinton for the deaths.

“Liberal politicians who label police as racists — specifically Hillary Clinton and Virginia Lt. Governor Ralph Northam — are to blame for essentially encouraging the murder of these police officers tonight,” Mr. Stewart wrote in a post that he later deleted.

Hope Hicks, a spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, said, “Corey does not speak for the campaign, and this is not something we agree with.”

Trump Is Falling Into Hillary Clinton’s Trap By Picking Loser Mike Pence For VP

It is being reported that there is a 95% chance that Trump will name anti-gay extremist Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate on Tuesday. If Trump picks Pence, Hillary Clinton couldn't have made a better choice herself.

Gov. Pence is only known nationally for his “religious freedom” law which was nothing more than a bill to discriminate against gay people in Indiana. Pence isn’t known nationally, and what is known about him is likely to push more voters towards Hillary Clinton.

The reality is that the kind of Republican who could have helped Trump wouldn’t be caught dead on his ticket, so the GOP nominee was forced to pick a running mate that could have been cast by Hillary Clinton herself.

Pence is a red state governor with an extremist political history who does nothing to help Trump nationally, or with any key voting cons uencies.
Trump wanted a star for his VP. Instead, he got Mike Pence.

INDIANA GOVERNOR STUNNED BY HOW MANY PEOPLE SEEM TO HAVE GAY FRIENDS

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Governor Mike Pence is “stunned and amazed” that so many people appear to have gay friends, Pence has confirmed.

Speaking to reporters in his office in Indianapolis, Pence said that he made the astonishing discovery about gay friends late last week.

“A lot of everyday people have gay friends, and they’re not afraid to call and/or e-mail you to tell you that,” Pence said. “To be honest, I’m still trying to process it all.”

Pence said that from what he has been able to gather thus far, the phenomenon of “ordinary folks” having gay friends “has been going on for years.”

“You could be walking down the street, and without you knowing it, this person is friends with gays and that person is, too,” he said. “It really seems to be pretty widespread.”

“It’s the darnedest thing,” he added.

While Pence acknowledged that he has “no gay friends personally,” the growing popularity of being friends with gays has made him question whether he has been “missing the boat on this.”

“When I see so many people having gay friends, it makes me wonder if I should go out and get one,” he said. “But I guess that would be kind of hard for me to do now.”

Eric Trump swore dad gave ‘hundreds of thousands’ to his charity — now he’s not so sure

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump still refuses to release his tax return, so there is no way of knowing just how much the Trumps’ donate to charity.

But Trump’s son Eric isn’t as sure as he once was about how much they give away.
Trump has stated from the campaign podium that he gives “millions” to charity each year.

He’s sworn to donate earnings from “The Apprentice,” Trump Vodka, Trump University, as well as several books.

According to David Fahrenthold’s dogged investigation for the Washington Post, Trump should have given over $8.5 million.

Yet, when Fahrenthold called over 200 major national charities, he found only $10,000 in charitable donations from Trump.

In fact, the investigation shows that Trump himself hasn’t given since 2008.

Eric said that his father gives “millions and millions and millions” to charity. In fact, the younger Trump said that his father gave “hundreds of thousands” to his own charity. He couldn’t give exact figures but swore he would get back to WaPo.

“I’m sure there have been but without going back through 10 years, I wouldn’t remember check for check off the top of my head,” Eric Trump wrote in an email.

He was unable to name a single instance when Trump gave to the charity.

“I have a lot going on — I just don’t have the time. Good luck with the story,”

Asked about race, Donald Trump gives the wrong answer

O’REILLY: There [are] still some black Americans who believe that the system is biased against them. The American system because they’re black, they don’t get the same kind of shot, they don’t get the same kind of fairness that whites do. What do you say to them?

TRUMP: Well, I have been saying even against me the system is rigged when I ran as a, you know, for president, I mean, I could see what was going on with the system and the system is rigged.

When the host told the candidate this sentiment probably won’t lift anyone’s spirits, Trump responded, “No, what I’m saying is they are not necessarily wrong. I mean, there are certain people where unfortunately that comes into play. I’m not saying that. And I can relate it really very much to myself.”

Asked if he believes he can understand the African-American experience, Trump added, “You can’t truly understand what’s going on unless you are African-American. I would like to say yes, however.”

    for Trump to believe
his experiences winning the Republican nomination helps him “relate” to African Americans is so painfully bizarre, it would do real and lasting harm to a normal presidential candidate.

Jeffress Says He Backs Trump Because It's 'Biblical' To Support A 'Strongman'

‘Pastor, don’t you want a candidate who embodies the teaching of Jesus and would govern this country according to the principles found in the Sermon on the Mount?’ I said, ‘Heck no.’ I would run from that candidate as far as possible, because the Sermon on the Mount was not given as a governing principle for this nation.

“Nowhere is government told to forgive those who wrong it, nowhere is government told to turn the other cheek.

Government is to be a strongman to protect its citizens against evildoers.

When I’m looking for somebody who’s going to deal with ISIS and exterminate ISIS, I don’t care about that candidate’s tone or vocabulary, I want the meanest, toughest, son of a you-know-what I can find, and I believe that’s biblical.”

Trash Seeks To Block Release Of Trump University Testimony

A federal judge who has been a target of Donald Trump's unending scorn must decide whether to release videos of the presumed Republican presidential nominee testifying in a lawsuit about the now-defunct Trump University — images that Trump's attorneys worry will be used to tarnish the campaign.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel faces Trump's attorneys Wednesday for the first time since he permitted the release of unrelated do ents in a class-action lawsuit alleging fraud, a move that led Trump to intensify his unusual attacks on the judge that included mention of his Mexican heritage.

The lawsuits allege that Trump University, which wasn't accredited as a school, gave seminars and classes across the country that were like infomericals, constantly pressuring students to spend up to $35,000 for mentorships and, in the end, failing on its promise to teach success in real estate.

Bully in action, where the bully's interests are more important than the Presidency

Trump picks an odd time to sue a former staffer

Donald Trump is seeking $10 million from a former aide he accused of leaking confidential information about a public spat between two senior campaign staffers, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

Trump claimed that fired campaign consultant Sam Nunberg went to the press with confidential information in violation of a nondisclosure agreement, which the real estate mogul requires nearly all staffers for his campaign and businesses to sign.

How Donald Trump Tried to Cash In by Dumping Sewage Into the Hudson River

Donald Trump is loud and boastful on camera, but sometimes he operates more quietly off screen, like when he needed to solve a sewage problem beneath the streets of Manhattan—a problem that mysteriously evaporated one day in 1994, allowing a flood of cash that saved Trump from drowning in debt.

This is a little-known aspect of how Trump bungled the chance to make billions of dollars building on the largest developable tract of land in America’s largest city, a story the late actor Christopher Reeve called “the American dream gone berserk.”

That was a little problem for Trump. His big one was sewage.

As recently as 1986 most of the sewage generated in Manhattan flowed raw into the Hudson River, almost as if the city was the New Amsterdam of the 17th century with a few million more people emptying their chamber pots in the streets each morning. The city partially solved this problem by building a new sewage treatment plant. It was originally intended for the boat basin at 79th Street, but politically savvy and affluent Upper West Siders got their effluent pumped north to the Harlem waterfront, where the smell was godawful.

About 200 million gallons of sewage came in each day to the sewage treatment plan, well above its design capacity of around 170 million gallons per day. So on dry days, about 30 million gallons of raw sewage continued flowing into the Hudson River. Rainy days swelled the volume.

Messinger, the Coalition for a Livable Upper West Side, and others stood firm. No Trump project would proceed until sewage inflows matched treatment capacity.

Then something strange happened, something that would have gone unnoticed but for one Princeton-trained civil engineer checking the weekly city sewage flow reports.

The do ent showed 24 million gallons less sewage on the Upper West Side. Rich Herschlag, Messinger’s chief borough engineer, thought it an inside-the-bureaucracy joke. It was, after all, April Fool’s Day 1994.

When the next weekly report came Herschlag realized this was no joke.

Day after day, rain or shine, the official sewage flow meter readings stayed about the same. Holidays, big events that drew people into the city, weekends when people left town—none of that influenced the effluent flow.

“It was as if 150,000 Manhattanites just vanished,” Herschlag told me last week.

Eventually Herschlag was forced out of his job, his final paycheck held up until he could be told that were he to consult with the Coalition for a Livable Upper West Side, which opposed the Trump project, he could be prosecuted for violating a city charter ethics rule.

That’s when the best reporter in New York City, Wayne Barrett of the Village Voice, and one of his acolytes, Denise Kiernan, got on the story. On April 11, 1995, they published an article about “Ruth and Donald’s Artful Deal” (PDF).

They exposed connections between Trump and various elected and appointed city officials that were as complex, and hidden, as the sewer lines running beneath city streets.

For example, a former city councilman from the West Side named Ed Wallace registered as a lobbyist for Trump Management. New York’s Parks Council, which would have to approve a park for Trump’s project to proceed, was packed with officials and spouses on the Trump payroll.

Messinger did a complete reversal, becoming an advocate for the Trump project that she had once so firmly opposed since there was no longer, or so it seemed, a problem of overloading the already overloaded sewage treatment plant with more wastewater. Indeed, she said in February 1995 that she had not called for preventing sewer hookups at the proposed Trump project.

Mary Jo White, the federal prosecutor who is now chair of the federal Securities & Exchange Commission, dropped her inquiry. She has never been willing to answer questions about what motivated her reversal, including whether any instruction flowed down to her from the Bill Clinton White House, which at the time Trump courted and publicly supported.

Herschlag believes someone tampered with the plant intake meter, but neglected to fudge the collector-pipe meters so their numbers would match, either out of hubris—what are the odds someone would compare the two?—or laziness.

He later wrote a novel, The Interceptor, about “a sly real estate mogul with a $4 billion deal at stake, a ruthless candidate for mayor in a heated election year and a lone civil engineer who uncovers a secret that could rock the lives of seven million New Yorkers.” It sold about 45,000 copies, an amazing number for a thriller about sewers. You can still buy a copy, for a penny plus shipping.

The end of the story came in 1997 when Trump sold most of his interest in the land to Hong Kong investors. No one would have paid a penny if the land could not be developed because there was no place for it in a sewer system that was already full—showing once again how Trump speaks the truth when he talks about how a businessman who delivers campaign cash and favors gets politicians to do what he wants.
