i spent many hours in the PCL.
That place was awesome. One of the two libraries where I happened upon other students getting their freak on. When the mood hits, I guess.
....i guess there were more hidden places in PCL than UGL that's for sure. for more serious studying i locked myself in the science library on the 3rd floor of the tower. that was where i was guaranteed the most quiet. of course, i was a grad student at that time, so i was a tad more serious.

Found some very quiet places in the PCL
Also liked the stacks in the science library (main tower building). Very creepy in there. But I loved all those dusty old journals and the little metal chairs next to those little windows.
During finals it got very packed and more noisy in the PCL. We dubbed those nights amateur nights for the newcomers.
Will never forget that Jester smell during my freshman year either.
Best times of my life seems like but I don't want a do over.

yeah, they even have those little, old school desks to sit on. i loved it back there. i sometimes sat near a grate by which there was a long running list of "grate" puns that must have been transcribed over the years. i did love that science library. (and there are tons of libraries on UT's campus, that's for sure).
I loved those old windows you could peer out of right by your chair.
Very cramped but cozy. I found it harder to study in wide open spaces.
It was kind of creepy back there.
Dont remember the grate though. I was a creature of habit, probably found the same spot and stayed.

My favorite was the architecture library. Goddamn that place was beautiful.
Other library sex story. Studying for Spanish. Watching a film on the third floor of the FAC. I don't know if those of you who went there remember it, but there were viewing rooms all around the floor and a place where you could check out CDs and movies. So, I'm in my room, trying to figure out what the these Spanish es are saying and I start hearing some moans. Light moaning. I know it's some dude watching a porno so I turn up my volume a little. Moans get louder. It's the middle of the ing afternoon. There are people in the library. The viewing rooms have a giant window so you can see in to the room, probably so no one starts whacking it like the dude watching porno next to me.

Not porn. Exhibitionists. They are going at it hard. She's in la la land, and he's pumping like tomorrow ain't coming. I couldn't believe it. Well, I could. People are crazy. I took my film up to the front and turned it in. It was a two hour film, I had been in the room for 30 minutes. Dude at the desk asked me why I hadn't finished it. I straight up told him that I couldn't concentrate with the coitus going on next door. Dude had the most confusing look on his face. I still remember walking back across the library and seeing the throng of young Asian men congregated outside the exhibitionists room. The whole library was getting up to watch these fools. I met the wrong women in college apparently.
