Conservatives never liked him from the get go, tbh, but he's won and won big (especially on his re-election). I don't know how that's divisive. The only 'division' is that conservatives never liked him.

Yeah, but Trump is running primarily on fear mongering and little else. That feeling can be fleeting. He sure as doesn't want the American people uplifted or feeling good because that doesn't feed into his narrative. He needs the American people scared of their own shadows and feeling doubt. When bad happens Trump grows stronger.
