    rmt Your thoughts on this?
Yeah, they're laying fiber optics? in my neighborhood and cut the line so I've been without internet for 2 days (still hasn't been fixed)? Busy trying to get kids' schedules fixed.

My thoughts are that whoever is running his campaign is insignificant compared to his law and order theme this week. I think he should try for more of the black vote (from his Milwaukee speech). Maybe some are fed up with how things are going in the inner cities under decades of Democrat governing. I am glad that he stated his regret at saying the wrong things especially that which caused personal pain. Anyways, Reck, I commend you for wanting to at least hear an opposing view. So many here don't even want to hear it and wish me gone. My time with hubby's hot spot is over.

    Go Bolt and Thompson!

Alex Jones is Excited by Trump’s Retreat From Our Fact-Based Reality

Trump’s complete surrender to the fantasy world of paranoia and conspiracy theories has Alex Jones very excited.

Yes, Alex Jones is excited by Trump’s retreat from our fact-based reality into a Breitbart-based reality.

It hardly needs be said the two have nothing to do with one another.

As CNN’s Brian Stelter put it, the addition of Breitbart’s Stephen Bannon as chief executive of the Trump campaign means

“nothing is off limits now,” and “we’re going to see the most fringy ideas, the most right-wing ideas bubble up to the surface.”

And you thought it was bad before.

According to Jones, the addition of Bannon means a “globalist’s nightmare” because of Bannon’s focus on “a globalist New World Order takeover program.”

This is Bannon’s milieu, a place so out there that even Tolkien’s elves and orcs wouldn’t feel at home.

    Because as Jones says,

“Just because the old mainstream media calls us conspiracy theorist when we cover facts, doesn’t mean we should then bow down to them.”

LA Gov tells trump to either contribute funds, volunteer or stay TFO. "Don't come for a photo op".

And for low IQ ST Repug Trump poster getting ready to squack that Barry is not there:
    a) Barry already dispersed funds
    b) LA Gov Edwards asked the president to keep away, too, so as to not divert much-needed emergency resources to road closures and security detail.
"Quite frankly, that is something I don't want to go through right now," Edwards said. "While the president is welcome to visit, I'd rather he give us another week or two. And then he can visit."

I heard an interview on NPR yesterday with an LA emergency person saying the Feds had supplied plenty of funds, supplies, people, and that now it was just a huge, grinding, stinky job of nasty clean up. Temporary shelters are coming (w/o Repug formaldehyde)

Pat Buchanan: If Trump Loses, There Could Be A Revolution

In a column yesterday, Pat Buchanan warned that if Donald Trump loses the election in November, America could experience a revolution.
Buchanan, citing Trump’s recent suggestion that the election could be “rigged,” said that if Hillary Clinton defeats Trump, “would that not suggest there is something fraudulent about American democracy, something rotten in the state?”

“[T]he Republican electorate should tell its discredited and rejected ruling class: If we cannot get rid of you at the ballot box, then tell us how, peacefully and democratically, we can be rid of you?” he continued. “You want Trump out? How do we get you out? The Czechs had their Prague Spring. The Tunisians and Egyptians their Arab Spring. When do we have our American Spring?”

Buchanan then quoted John F. Kennedy’s remarks on U.S.-Latin American relations: “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

“I’m afraid the election is going to be rigged,” Donald Trump told voters in Ohio and Sean Hannity on Fox News. And that hit a nerve.

“Dangerous,” “toxic,” came the recoil from the media.

Trump is threatening to “delegitimize” the election results of 2016.

Well, if that is what Trump is trying to do, he has no small point. For consider what 2016 promised and what it appears about to deliver.

This longest of election cycles has rightly been called the Year of the Outsider. It was a year that saw a mighty surge of economic populism and patriotism, a year when a 74-year-old socialist senator set primaries ablaze with mammoth crowds that dwarfed those of Hillary Clinton.

It was the year that a non-politician, Donald Trump, swept Republican primaries in an historic turnout, with his nearest rival an ostracized maverick in his own Republican caucus, Sen. Ted Cruz.

More than a dozen Republican rivals, described as the strongest GOP field since 1980, were sent packing. This was the year Americans rose up to pull down the establishment in a peaceful storming of the American Bastille.

But if it ends with a Clintonite restoration and a ratification of the same old Beltway policies, would that not suggest there is something fraudulent about American democracy, something rotten in the state?

Specifically, the Republican electorate should tell its discredited and rejected ruling class: If we cannot get rid of you at the ballot box, then tell us how, peacefully and democratically, we can be rid of you?

You want Trump out? How do we get you out?

The Czechs had their Prague Spring. The Tunisians and Egyptians their Arab Spring. When do we have our American Spring?

And if, as the polls show we might, we get Clinton – and TPP, and amnesty, and endless migrations of Third World peoples who consume more tax dollars than they generate, and who will soon swamp the Republicans’ coalition – what was 2016 all about?

Would this really be what a majority of Americans voted for in this most exciting of presidential races?

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable,” said John F. Kennedy.

    http://www.rightwingwatch.org/conten...rightwingwatch

As if Buchanan weren't as an extreme Repug establishment head as they come and somehow immune to the "violent revolution" coming after him.

Michael Moore: Trump’s Presidential Bid Was Always Fake

Donald Trump is currently sabotaging his presidential bid because he never wanted the Oval Office in the first place.

The whole campaign had begun as a tactic to give him leverage in ongoing negotiations with NBC over his Apprentice deal, Moore claims.

“I know this for a fact,” he writes, though cites no sources.

“I’m certainly not saying I ever overheard anything at those agencies or in the hallways of NBC or anywhere else. But there are certain people reading this right now, they know who they are, and they know that every word in the following paragraphs actually happened,” he adds.

Moore’s argument is that a campaign that was never meant to be politically credible but was intended to boost his business brand ended up doing the exact opposite, much to Trump’s surprise.

NBC promptly severed their relationship with Trump over his inflammatory remarks last June and meanwhile his poll numbers soared.

    Moore continues:

Calling Mexicans “rapists” should have disqualified him on Day One (or for saying Obama wasn’t born here, as he did in 2011). No, it took 13 months of racist, sexist, stupid comments before he finally undid himself with the trifecta of attacking the family of a slain soldier, ridiculing the Purple Heart and suggesting that the pro-gun crowd assassinate Hillary Clinton.

By this past weekend, the look on his face said it all—“I hate this! I want my show back!” But it was too late. He was damaged goods, his brand beyond repair, a worldwide laughing stock—and worse, a soon-to-be loser.

Currently, Trump’s criteria for blocking immigration is pretty vague. However, he did specifically call out “extreme views about religion such as its oppression of women, gays, and non-believers.” That’s where The Daily Show‘s Jordan Klepper started out. You can probably see where this is going.

Standing outside of a Trump rally in Wisconsin, Klepper found

one supporter who called same-sex marriage “disgusting.”

    Another said that

women are not qualified to be president because “a female has more hormones.”

Not exactly what you’d hope for among voters who purport to be against the oppression of women, gays, and non-believers.
