You, sir, are amazing. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to see this particular game footage. I wish I could find that entire series. Watching those two go at it was just an absolute joy. The two best players at their positions, obvious animosity, and mutual respect. Individual rivalry at its best.

I remember when Duncan seemed like he was in decline with his knee and Gasol finally felt like he had Duncan where he wanted him and he toyed with Duncan and talked . That was before '11 when the Spurs were making the comeback that no one in the media gave respect to, that finally led to the 'ship in '14. Ill root for Gasol, I mostly like him but will always remember that so cant totally like him.

Surprised this has only 37 pages or so, damn thought this one would have 100 by now tbh. Too much dumb going on to pay attention I guess and arguing about PLAYERS all day.
TBF, it's the second biggest thread going, upstairs, behind the Olympic thread.
The one thing I really wanted to see is a Duncan/Rockets playoff series. It was so close to happening this year and last year, but they will go down as the one team Duncan didn't beat in the playoffs (he never played them).

The rockets games that closed the 2015 season were playoff atmospheric. I think that's enough evidence of how that series would go
I tend to watch a few youtube videos of him everyday. Everyday I discover some new youtube Duncan Tributes. It's pretty sad he's gone for me it kind of feels like he's dead. I guess it feels this way for me because I believe we probably won't see Duncan in the public eye ever again.
I highly doubt that...he will be around. I don't expect him to take a job in the organization like coach or assistant or anything, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he takes up an role in ownership down the line and shows up to the occasional games ala David Robinson.
If they had nutted up and played like they could they face the Spurs in 2014 but they went and lost to Portland4-1 Spurs in 2013-15, this year who knows but they would have won it. The Spurs have kicked their asses though the last few years
. Those 2015 games you mention were GREAT, remember Clyde whining after that game for a long time for a foul?

Speaking of Barry, my most memorable moment of him is 05 Finals. He's got the ball, he and TD are running down the court and he's so anxious/nervous that he passes the ball to Duncan at MID-COURT - I'm thinking - Dude, you're the guard, what in the world are you doing passing to a big man there - he just couldn't wait to get rid of the ball
