I mean, it's a ridiculous raw number, but you have to normalize it based on what salaries were vs what they are now with ever expanding cap.
I'm not going at you, but people need to stop saying that. They're using that as an excuse for giving guys the 2016 max who wouldn't get the 2015 max last year. Guys like Johnson (whom I like as a player) and Bazemore aren't being paid what they're worth in light of the new cap; they're being paid what they were able to command after a bidding war among teams that too quickly came into too much money.

It's like raising the minimum wage by three bucks and then doubling prices.

Giving guys stupid deals isn't the new normal, it's the old normal.

I agree - but IMO, for Adams, he would be getting paid max (or near max) regardless of the cap.

Adams is an above average C, a pretty good starter, but doesn't do anything at a high level, tbh..a good role player living off 1 good playoff run with favorable matchups(last year)..

Oladipo is OK, too early to get a read on him, as he has spent his career not doing anything notable on ty teams..

Adams is the best PnR defender among true centers (Tristan isn't) & I remember him rag dolling Tiago/Tim/Baynes in '14-'15 which was his breakout season:

Yeah...Adams will earn his check tbh. Oladipo's ceiling is a solid wingman for Russ.

Adams will have to average 25/5/5 and that still won't be enough.
