Danny Green (left quad) should return to action "within the next week," according to coach Gregg Popovich.

This is encouraging news for Green's fantasy owners, as he was initially expected to be sidelined until later this month. Green had a disappointing year last season, but was a top-40 overall fantasy player back in 2014-15. His upside is tremendous due to his versatile skill set. If Green is still floating around on your waiver wire, go get him. Nov 5 - 12:04 PM

^ great news, tbh. I'm liking more this team's ceiling better than back in the summer especially if Parker role continues to be reduced. The match-up with Warriors figures to be less daunting with their current front court situation..

They've got no choice but to make a move to shore-up their bigs. Somebody will come to their rescue via trade, etc. But that, too, will cause some adjustment disruption.

Lol, no he wasn't. Some chode just didn't do math right on that last update. He was always expected to be back between 11/7 and 11/12.

    Thanks for the update, Harlem.

I don't think so but it appears with the above quote he will be soon.

If he shoots like we know he can/should, the spacing he will provide is going to be huge for the rest of the starters.

After all the years as a Spurs fan and season ticket holder, I'd like to be among the really cool people. From the context I get that LDN=Danny Green. What does the LDN stand for and who gave him that name.

He can't dribble a basketball, but he's such a ing long- , tbh, massive balls..

2nd best perimeter defender on the team, good rebounder, hustles for the loose balls, shows passion/leadership..when he's making the 3-ball, he's a monster, tbh..

Glad to see he's nearing his return. The assignment was for a practice apparently. He's probably working on his conditioning and stamina. Just needs to play a little bit.

I guess the guy who gave him the nickname will be proud to acknowledge how close his relationship with Green is and will come forth. Sometimes a nickname is a appellation that shows respect for his ability and a player is proud to wear in the public arena and media. The Glove and the Microwave and the Claw come to mind. Sorry, Danny.

I quoted you to show it was from Harlem. That was after the Washington game where he pretty much carried the team to victory. Tim fouled out to begin the second overtime, so Green picked up the offense and checked Wall. It was truly amazing to watch, especially because the team had been skidding with him, Kawhi and Manu out simultaneously.

Too bad that Danny gets saddled with a nickname that can't be used by the media. Or with women and children. And most people won't appropriate it since it is obviously a black thing.

Yes because I'm sure the team and media scrounges around this forum to determine what to nickname players.

Here's to hoping Danny will bring 3&D pain to opponents as we know he can.
