I'm still not totally convinced Gilbert is that great of an OC. I like what he has done, but I've noticed that our running game isn't that great once Foreman is out. What will our running game be like next year, we can hope Warren is healed, but knee injuries aren't easy to return from.

I am however convinced that our passing game can get a lot better if we can utilize the middle of the field, I think we need to just utilize our TE as more than just a blocker. I hope Payton Aucoin is ready to step up. Or maybe Lil'Jordan will out grow the WR position.

I think it would be a heck of a thing to hire former players as a scout team staff to help prepare guys to play. Texas could afford to pay them a salary and it will also serve as a way for those players who have aspirations of going to the league to keep their bodies ready. Probably only have to pay them a token salary with benefits. 40K + benefits, about 70K per guy, and that would be about 30-40 member staff. 3 million isn't a bad number to fit the bill and I'm sure a couple of rich boosters would be willing to cover it. If it can prepare the team better I'm all for it.

Saban does something else I really love. Every day he holds two practices, a practice for the starters and a practice for the second team, it doesn't go against any rules because there is no difference in the amount of practice the players do, but it doubles up the amount of coaching time available to the team. I don''t know why other teams aren't doing this.

Not even a question. Sterling has made this team very compe ive on offense. The last two years we couldn't even get a first down. Sterling has a lot of growing up to do but he is maturing as a signal caller, next year he will have more plays in place for this offense.
Depends on the next head coach and who he is comfortable with.

He might have a solid OC on his staff that he wants to bring

I think our true freshman RB has very poor vision and decision making on where to run because he is a true freshman. Foreman not only picks the right place to run most of the time, he can also break tackles. The freshman does have some quicks though. Patience with him IMO. This offense opens up gigantic lanes, but you gotta see it, confidence and experience needed.

Possibly team unity? "Coach, when do I get to practice..."

If they are on the field at the same time you can make a switch immediately.

    just guessing...
