So they are replacing a piece of with another piece of ? It was Herman or bust. They ed this whole situation up badly. They aren't going to get any better of a coach than Herman. That program is ed for a loooong time.
But sir, then why are they waiting?
I thought this all along.
Amazing that a tweet from Chip started all this.
What I'm waiting to see is if Fenves got himself in deep by being slow to communicate with Herman's party and doing his best to keep Charlie.
This is seemingly turning in Texas' favor quickly.
As to be expected, 24/7 reporting strong will be fired on Saturday.
I say be patient on the Herman news, lots of crap being thrown out to the media right now. I feel we are still in good shape, even after tonight.
I'll add that the report also says Perrin, Fenves and McRaven have seen a ton of negative reactions from donors and fans this week that they didn't expect when it came to the idea of keeping Strong.
I'm sure the heat was turned up significantly tonight if it wasn't already there.
lol Yall freaking out for nothing. Herman knows the Texas job is open.
This team blows....all the promise at the start of the year and we are back to suckage.
We have no originality on offense. Our D blows. We did great in the 1st half, but in the 2nd, we just quit. Buechele is horrible right now. We get deep in the red zone on multiple occasions and cant get into the end zone. Our kicker missed another FG.
just over 7 minutes left in another putrid season. So long Chuck. Don't let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya.
Charlie is leaving no doubt.
The "one more year" stuff is just embarrassing.
Under Strong, we have been Texas Weak
Charlie is good man. He did a clean up job, but we did not progress on the field in any meaningful way.
I don't know who should be head coach, but I do know Charlie should not be.
The adjustments, if any, are horrible.
Patterson is a very good game planning coach. They were taking our receivers one on one the second half and doing a really good job. This leads me to believe our receivers do not understand how to get open. And or Buechele is clearly limited in what he can, or was allowed, to do. All the quick passes to the sidelines become so obvious. As the season wore on we should have become less predictable in throwing the ball. The opposite happened.
We improved a bit on defense then regressed. We had a beast of a running back, so offensively it was nice to have a QB who could at least handle the offense. But the playbook was what one would give to a child.
He's talking entirely in the past tense at his press conference right now.
