The golden question is if Houston would release Allen to Texas even though he'd be a graduate transfer.
Herman is looking to consider bringing along WR coach Darrel Wyatt and Oscar Giles, am I right? I know many folks were high on Wyatt as a coach and recruiter. Remember us losing a shot on D'Markus Lodge when Strong didn't retain Wyatt.
This will go along way in red shirting Ehlinger if true.
I'd like to see him keep Traylor somehow, but I don't know if it'll work out.
I really hope they figure out a way to. Would suck to lose him.
Perrin's statement to the media after firing Strong:
“Decisions like this are tough to make. The responsibility is not taken lightly. I became friends with Charlie Strong before becoming Athletics Director. I have the utmost personal respect for him. His impact on college athletics and student-athletes should be celebrated. Coach Strong represented The University of Texas with class and dignity, and he demanded our student-athletes do the same by adhering to his system of core values. However, after thorough evaluation, the body of work over three seasons has not shown the improvement we were hoping for. This was an important year for our program to take the next step, and the results simply aren’t there, so we’ve decided to make a change. We appreciate Coach Strong so much, are grateful for all he has done with our program and wish him the best in the future.”
Orgeron at LSU, Saban at Bama and now Herman at Texas with the recruiters he is bringing in.
Aggsy are fooked.
this means sterlin gilbert and his ty offense is gone too, right?
And they know it. I've never seen Texags so one-side in their agreement.
I kind of hope so. I like the offense Herman runs better.
Didn't Florida St just host a bunch of Texas guys?
Scout saying UT players are scheduled to meet with Herman around 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
Also, one of Herman's priorities will be cleaning out Bellmont.
What does this mean exactly? Hopefully he put in the contract that we get locker room upgrades too.
Personnel, imo.
Yeah, what does "Cleaning out Bellmont" mean? they're going to start firing admins?
Per multiple sites. Herman is the next head coach for Texas!!
Texas is back folks!!! Buckle up and enjoy the ride!!!!
