Yeah, but putting him back in to defend Bradley Beal at the end? And Oubrey on the last play? Spurs got lucky on that last shot.
Spurs beat the Rockets on their homecourt w/ Kawhi shutting down Ryan Anderson, What's Your Point?![]()
Danny bailed himself out after an absolutely ty night, Softridge would have shot an airball under similar cir stances.
He was playing well... so Pop milked that.
/sigh...
I am pessimistic somewhat I don't want to infect anyone. It's the holidays and I want to be jolly.
Missed tonight's game, dammit. Is it a case of the team playing down to the compe ion or would we get curbstomped against the Dubs if we played them tonight instead?
Typical lackluster home game effort, also doesn't help they missed so many free throws. Manu, Patty, Kawhi, LMA down the stretch was enough to get the win today.
Thanks man. Why did Dedmon only log 8 minutes? He didn't reinjure himself did he? He was a net positive.
Forgot to mention Lee was good in the minutes he played. Got the Spurs some huge momentum plays. Dedmon picked up 2 quick fouls and never checked back in. Probably a case of Pop wanting Dedmon to get over himself again. Idk.
I respect Pop's stance against ego and arrogance but all the man did was retweet.
They'd lose but it'd be close. The bigs would keep them in it provided they played at a slow pace.
There ya go! I just got home and it's likely been said, but the crowd was a lot better for this game! Also the team wearing their road black jerseys was good to see! If not for missing a half dozen ft's it wouldn't have been the nail biter it was. Good game with some clutch play by several guys!
They played just good enough to win. Danny didn't do for the whole game, but he came up with a big 3-pointer with 19 seconds left that they absolutely had to have. LMA didn't rebound worth a , as per usual, but he came up with a big one in the last minute that got Danny the opportunity to make that 3. The starters were all a net negative, and it was the bench players that kept them in the hunt. They missed a dozen FT's, got out-rebounded by the Wizards, and had 15 TO's. And at the end, Washington missed a layup that would have tied the game.
I don't know how they would have fared against the Dubs. But they did their level best to lose to the Wizards at home.
Not only do we need to use our size advantage over them, but Kawhi needs to get 30 a game against them.
Hope we at least had something to do with that missed layup. Update: just saw a recap and we were lucky they missed that layup. I know Kawhi made that shot but could he have taken his time a bit to get an easier shot and not have left them with plenty of time to tie it back?

Good summary.
There's no doubt. It was well contested. But if there's anyone here who says that they didn't think that layup was going in, or that there was no chance that the zebras might give them a couple of FT's, they're lying. In fact, Wall made a layup with 11 seconds left that was contested so well that it could easily have gotten him an and-1. Even Sean commented on that.
They won. That's a good thing. It was not an impressive performance.
Thanks for the summary.
Incredible shot by KawhiAll these tough moments against lesser opponents will hopefully help us a ton in the playoffs. Kawhi needs these situations. Good to see he's up there with the best as far as clutch shots in recent years.

"I didn't see the game. but......." should never be said. If you couldn't find the time to see the game (many really great reasons) then why are you compelled to talk about it?
I'm very fortunate to see many games live. With that in mind, I don't want to hear about people that didn't see the game.....at all.. Just refrain from talking about it ...would be my take...???
Not meaning at all that you have to see it in person. Just have seen the game in some format.
To be fair the highlights we have on YT these days are fairly comprehensive compared to what they were in the past, although of course they don't really come close to telling the whole story of a game.
I definitely hear what you're saying if all someone did was look at the box score and go off with extensive and/or resolute opinions.
another lackluster effort at home ... but looking at all these empty seats I would be more fired up on the road as well ... especially with that high rate of Spurs fans on the road
no Bertans is not good ... especially when Dedmon did not get any minutes in the second half
Canyonero taking us to the W again![]()
