Gen. Michael Flynn, who called for Hillary to be jailed, improperly shared classified information

But Flynn himself “inappropriately shared” classified information with foreign military officers and officials in Afghanistan in 2010, the Washington Postreported Tuesday. The publication revealed that Flynn was not authorized to share the classified information and “particular secrets he divulged.”

Army records obtained by the publication under the Freedom of Information Act found that “there was no actual or potential damage to national security as a result” of his sharing.

Flynn has dismissed the investigation as insignificant, yet “former U.S. officials familiar with the matter said that

Flynn was accused of telling allies about the activities of other agencies in Afghanistan, including the CIA,”

the Washington Post reported. The information shared included slides and materials about CIA operations in Afghanistan.

The U.S. military does share intelligence with NATO allies, but he did not follow the established channels to share information.

Climate Scientists Are Copying All Their Data to Protect It From Trash

Alarmed that decades of crucial climate measurements could vanish under a hostile Trump administration,

scientists have begun a feverish attempt to copy reams of government data onto independent servers in hopes of safeguarding it from any political interference.

....“Something that seemed a little paranoid to me before all of a sudden seems potentially realistic, or at least something you’d want to hedge against,” said Nick Santos, an environmental researcher at the University of California at Davis, who over the weekend began copying government climate data onto a nongovernment server, where it will remain available to the public.

“Doing this can only be a good thing. Hopefully they leave everything in place. But if not, we’re planning for that.”

I doubt this will happen. I'm not even sure how it could happen. But it's chilling that a bunch of working scientists think there's even a 5 percent chance that it might happen.

If climate change is pressing, you should not be able to buy anyone off who isn't dishonest. If you can buy conservatives off so they ignore impending doom, then you're saying the right is corrupt with or without the climate change issue.
