If the best you guys can come up with is that he's marginally smarter than Reggie Bush and has a marginally better arm than Matt Leinart, you'll end up making my case for me. At least nobody is comparing him to Vick anymore.

I do not have, nor have I ever had, any hatred for the Longhorns, I don't particularly like being descended upon by people calling me " face" when I mention that Vince is overrated by the scouts mainly because the Longhorns won the Rose Bowl. By the way, I agree that Vince Young will prove to be great in the NFL, just not as a QB. If I'm wrong, it certainly won't be the first or last time.

That was not it at all. What I meant to imply was that if he had been called down, and the Longhorns had kicked the field goal and lost 38-37, Vince's stock would not have risen as high as it did, despite how brilliant he was in the game. It's not intended to take away from the victory, but to call out those in the media that have been blowing Vince's horn just because of the national championship. There's a reason Major Applewhite isn't in the pros, and Chris Sims is, even though Major was ten times the college QB that Sims was.
Again, it's just my opinion, and I could be wrong. I don't like the idea of Young going first or second in the draft and then getting the beat out of him by the same people in the press that mistakenly said he should have been drafted that high in the first place. I hope he's better than Vick, but he isn't faster and he doesn't have Vick's arm; he's going to have to win with intangibles and will.

Maybe someday you'll be competent to express it clearly. I rooted for Texas in the Rose Bowl. I don't think Vince Young is going to be Michael Vick, let alone John Elway. That's my opinion. Of course not, and I never suggested that. He took care of his business and won the game. That's his job. Hopefully he'll be great wherever he goes and that will be that. I'm certainly not rooting for him to fail.
