    As much as I keep ing about this team, they were always going to be some growing pains in a transition year. I'm not crazy about the Gasol signing, and the shape our backcourt is in, but I'm confident next years Spurs team should be better

    Just out of curiosity, in what season did "today's NBA" begin? I keep reading that term here on ST, but I cannot really identify a recent season when this new era was ushered in. Was it due to a rule change that I am unaware of? Many of the "star" players are the same as in recent seasons... I just don't see any recent quantum shift in the game.

    Honestly, I just don't remember seeing players like him NOT be foul prone. He's one of those guys that plays on his toes, tons of energy and reaches, bangs, etc...I don't know that it can be pulled in. What makes him good also feeds that problem I guess.
