Yea..but he had not had a good past couple of seasons.. the very two seasons prior and he got injured a lot over that span.
He has since said he wasn't keeping a workout regimen in the summer and was showing up 20 pounds overwheight to training camp. It seemed when he was younger he could afford it, but has admitted that doing that at this stage of his career, he can't afford it. At least that is how he explained very poor play in Boston that got him DNP.

I enjoyed the quote from him, said early in the game: that when he was young, he prayed to be on a team like this, with it's culture and coaching and how the players get along... I think he's going to be here, on the cheap, for a few years.

1st Qtr had more to do with Kawhi and the rest of the starting line-up also being subbed out. OTOH the last three minutes it was just a simple Paddy/Porker swap and boom the Spurs push the lead to 9.
